I’m a reporter with KHOU11 News in Houston, TX! I’m a UCF grad from Jacksonville, FL.
August marks ten years working in TV news! I knew for a long time I wanted to do this.
I didn’t know where my start in Beaumont making $25k a year was going to lead me, how I would change, how news would dramatically change, or where it would lead, but I would not change a thing at all. I’ve learned a lot, told some very important stories, made lifelong friends, lived in some of the best places, and I get to share some of me and my craft with you.
A lot has changed, but I’m still a kid chasing a dream. Thank you for making that dream possible. The show goes on…now, let’s go to work.

FBI Houston released this statement following a meeting with local, state and federal officials regarding the July 7 ICE facility shooting in Houston that left Lorenzo Salgado dead.
The FBI said it has updated its law enforcement and prosecutorial partners on the status of its investigation and will continue providing relevant case updates to those agencies. Because the investigation remains ongoing, the bureau said it will not release additional details publicly at this time.
Congresswoman Silvia Garcia said the FBI has possession of the van Salgado was traveling in.
The FBI has also said its investigation is focused on the potential assault of a federal law enforcement officer.

A lil snapshot of Primary Runoff coverage 📺
We were at the Harris County Election Headquarters, where the people that bring you those results are working non-stop. We had crews across the state covering key races.
Our day wasn’t perfect, but we ended on a good note!
Elections, and TV news for that matter, are not possible without people behind the scenes making sure everything goes well and putting out fires in the meantime. See y’all in November!
