The best part of this county aren’t just its parks—it’s all of us who have chosen to Live, Eat, & Play here. Boney...Son, Husband, Father, Community Advocate, Media Professional and Business Man. I believe in putting "Missouri City First" and I respectfully ask for your vote! Back in December 2000, my family and I made the important decision to move to Missouri City - District B, months before the birth of our now 23 year-old son, Joshua. We made what has become one of the best decisions of our lives, with the hopes of improving our quality of life; living in a safe neighborhood; ensuring our kids received a stellar education; lowering our taxes; and allowing us to build and share a lifetime of memories that are the hallmark of any family. We have truly been blessed as residents of Missouri City! When we moved into Missouri City Kroger grocery store occupied the building off of Texas Parkway and Independence, near the U.S. Post Office. A movie theatre was in the commercial storefront near the Wells Fargo Bank building at Court and Texas Parkway. The food chain, Sonic, recently sat across from Foodarama at Texas Parkway and Cartwright. Over the years, business development in has taken a few hits, with several of those major businesses leaving, but many of the small businesses have remained and continue to create jobs and faithfully service the community. There is so much growth potential in our city, and I believe we can make that growth a reality through having a solid vision and having leadership that has the experience and relationships to make it happen. I want to be a part of that future growth. Not just by sitting on the sidelines, but as an active participant in the place where change only happens through the legislative process - at Missouri City Hall. Not only do I have vision for this great District, but I have a track record that speaks to my commitment to work, through my experience in economic development through the development of small businesses; my passion for the youth; my advocacy for the individuals and businesses that need a voice; and my public service in Missouri City as President of my Homeowner's Association, as Vice-Chairman of the Missouri City Community Development Block Grant Advisory Committee, and much more. Over the coming months, I want to do two things as I travel across the district meeting people. First, I want to listen to the residents and businesses. I want to listen in order to better understand your heart, concerns and hopes for progress. Secondly, I want further share my vision as to where I see District B, both now and in the future. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you very soon, and I am so excited about what the future holds for my family and yours in District B. God Bless You and Missouri City, Texas!

I’m extremely proud to receive the endorsement and support of the Asian American Democrats of Texas (AADT) for my candidacy for Fort Bend County Treasurer.
AADT is the officially recognized Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) caucus of the Texas Democratic Party.
I’m honored that AADT recognized my longstanding commitment to Fort Bend County and Texas’ AAPI communities, as well as my commitment to Democratic and progressive values.
I believe strong communities are built by bringing people together, listening to one another, and making sure everyone has a voice and a seat at the table.
I’ve had the privilege of building relationships, listening to working families and community leaders, and collaborating with so many people who are committed to making Fort Bend a stronger, more inclusive place for everyone. These relationships have shaped my life of public service and strengthened my belief that our diversity is truly one of our greatest strengths.

I’m always grateful when I see something I worked on finally come to fruition—even if it happens years later.
Back in 2023, while serving on the Missouri City Council, I reached out to City staff about the possibility of adding streetlights along Trammel-Fresno Road, behind Fort Bend Town Center II, where the Cinemark Theater is located, between Hurricane Lane and Vicksburg.
That stretch of roadway was extremely dark, creating a potential safety hazard for drivers and a concern for residents in the area. It was important to me to raise the issue and advocate for a solution before a serious incident occurred.
At the time, CenterPoint visited the area to evaluate the City’s request. One of the challenges was identifying a power source, since the area lacked the infrastructure needed to power the proposed streetlights.
CenterPoint and Missouri City staff continued evaluating the issue and exploring possible solutions, and I made sure the matter remained part of our budget and funding conversations.
Fast-forward to today…
I was driving down Trammel-Fresno and was excited to see the multiple streetlights finally installed! 💡
Sometimes, public service is about planting a seed, advocating for an issue, and trusting the process—even when the results don’t happen overnight.
I’m truly grateful to the Missouri City staff and everyone who continued working on this issue and helped bring it to fruition for the residents.
It’s always rewarding to see progress that makes our community safer and better.
This is why local government matters.
This is why advocacy matters.
And this is why I was—and remain—committed to serving our community.

Started yesterday morning at the Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo Parade with my fellow Democratic colleagues and ended the evening sharing remarks and enjoying some zydeco musical entertainment at the J. Paul Jr Zydeco Mashup at the opening night of the Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo.

I was honored to attend the 103rd Anniversary Celebration of the historic New St. Philip Missionary Baptist Church in Arcola! 🙏🏾
It was inspiring to hear the rich history of this church and reflect on more than a century of faith, service, and impact in the community.
Pastor J. Dewitt has done an amazing job serving as the Senior Pastor of this great church, and it is clear that the best is yet to come!
And when I tell you the Word delivered by Dr. Rev. Trey Thomas, Senior Pastor of St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, was powerful! 🔥🔥🔥
The amazing choir, led by my good friend Bobby Swearington, had us ALL on fire! 🙌🏾🎶
And the food after the service......🔥🔥🔥
Congratulations to New St. Philip Missionary Baptist Church on 103 years of ministry, legacy, and service. May God continue to bless this church, its leadership, and its congregation for generations to come!
