The best Disney morning isn’t always the earliest one. 🙅‍♀️

When we’re planning Disney for a family with littles, we’re looking beyond each individual reservation or park day. We’re thinking about what came before it and what we’re asking your family to do afterward.

If your littles just stayed up hours later than they normally do, we’re taking that into account. And if Mom was the last one to bed and she’s going to be bone tired when those little voices start calling for her, that matters to us too.

We COULD plan for a 6:30 a.m. alarm and have everybody heading to the parks bright and early. But after a night like that? Sometimes everyone just needs to SLEEP! ❤️

And there’s something SO good about waking up after a big night knowing nobody has to rush, but you still have something amazing to look forward to later.

That’s the kind of detail we’re thinking about when we put your trip together.

Some of our favorite Disney trip changes happen AFTER you’ve already booked. 👏

When you booked your trip, you made choices based on what worked for your family and what you wanted to spend.

Then a new promotion comes out after you’re already booked, and suddenly some of those choices might look a little different.

Maybe an extra park day fits now. You could move to the resort you really wanted. Or that Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique appointment you decided to skip might be back on the table.

At some point, we stopped learning about history and started becoming it. 📚

We usually think of history as something that happened LONG before us, when people like George Washington and Hamilton were living through the events we’d eventually read about in history books.

We don’t usually think about Thriller on MTV, Friday nights at Blockbuster or the technology we grew up with. That was just life.

And maybe that’s why the update to Carousel of Progress feels a bit personal. We’ve spent years watching the attraction look back at generations that came before us. Now it’s moving forward into decades we actually remember.

“History has its eyes on you” hits a little differently when suddenly WE’RE part of the timeline. 👀

It’s easy to plan Halloween at Disney around one square on the calendar. 🎃

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the big event, so naturally a lot of the Halloween excitement gets attached to that Magic Kingdom day.

But when we’re looking at the whole itinerary, we like asking a slightly different question...where ELSE can Halloween show up without just recreating the party?

That’s where a meal like Hollywood & Vine is such a fun option!

Your Hollywood Studios day gets its own Halloween moment in a completely different way. You’re sitting down for a meal while Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto come around in costume, and then on party night, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary still gets to be its own experience.

Sometimes planning around something your family is excited about isn’t about cramming more and more into one day. It’s looking at the WHOLE trip and finding other places for that excitement to show up too.

And we are ALLLL for making the Halloween fun last a little longer!! 👻

Excuse us, but when exactly did our childhood qualify for a historical attraction? 😂

Jokes about feeling old aside, we actually love that the timeline is moving forward. Carousel of Progress only has a few stops to cover more than a century of progress, so eventually our own decades had to make it into the story.

And really, that feels pretty fitting for a ride families have been passing down for generations. Maybe you loved the song. Maybe you just loved 20 minutes of air conditioning and a place to sit down, which is also valid because Florida is HOT. 🥵

So we’re okay with the family getting new decades, Bryan Cranston and Jamie Lee Curtis becoming Mom and Dad, and 1999 apparently becoming “history.” Especially since “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” is staying. We won’t have to wait too long either, with the new version expected to debut in late spring 2027.

And really, change is kind of the whole point of Carousel. We went from being the kids riding it with our families to the ones bringing our own kids along.

And apparently that now means explaining to them that 1985 really wasn’t that long ago. 🙈

When Disney releases a new cruise offer, we’re obviously looking at the savings, but we also want to know which sailings are included because sometimes THAT’S where things get really interesting 👀🛳️

And this one caught our attention because there are options from Port Canaveral for both Halloween on the High Seas AND Very Merrytime Cruises.

Most families assume the Halloween and Christmas sailings won’t have savings, and we totally get why! You’re getting all of those extra seasonal experiences onboard, so you’d expect those dates to come at a premium. But when they’re included in an offer like this, we ALWAYS want to compare those dates too.

That’s why we look beyond the headline of a promotion. The dollar amount matters, of course, but knowing where those savings overlap with the experience your family actually wants can matter even more.

Because getting the seasonal Disney Cruise you wanted AND getting real savings? We like the sound of that! 👏👏
