This weekend, I had the privilege of attending the 2026 Texas GOP Convention, and it was truly an incredible experience. It was inspiring to see thousands of conservatives from every corner of Texas come together, united by a shared commitment to strengthening our communities, defending our values, and building a brighter future for our state.
One of the highlights was connecting with so many dedicated grassroots activists, elected officials, and volunteers who work tirelessly to make a difference. It was especially great to see constituents in the Senate Districts in HD 132 represented so well throughout the convention. Their hard work, leadership, and commitment to our communities were on full display, and they did an outstanding job.
Events like this are a powerful reminder that Texas remains strong because of the people who step up, get involved, and work together for the greater good. I’m grateful for everyone who made this convention such a success and proud to stand alongside so many Texans who are passionate about the future of our state.
Looking forward to carrying that energy and enthusiasm forward in the months ahead. Texas is in good hands!

I’m back home in Katy after a marathon 10-hour hearing of the Texas House Committee on Public Health.
We had a full house to discuss what we can do to lower the cost of healthcare, how we can ensure that rural areas have access to doctors, and how telehealth can expand Texans’ access to medical services.
We will be back in July to review the new Texas law to require more accurate labeling of food ingredients and efforts to get healthier ingredients in the food on store shelves.
HOCKLEY RESIDENTS: Centerpoint Energy is hosting a public open house THIS SATURDAY, June 6 at the Hockley Community Center (28515 Old Washington Road) from 10 am to 1 pm.
The purpose of the meeting is to plan the siting of electricity infrastructure to serve the growing Hockley community and make sure your electrical service is reliable and resilient. This includes things like lines and distribution substations.
THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO MAKE SURE YOUR VOICE IS HEARD.
As a result of the first open house, Centerpoint moved one of the planned substations away from where the new Warren Ranch high school is going to be built. (There is only so far they can move it, since it has to be along the line.)
Please come out and make sure your voice is heard.

I was honored to attend Memorial Day events at the Magnolia Cemetery in Katy with my friends from VFW Post 9182 and the American Legion Post 164, and in Bridgeland at the Lakeland Activity Center. I was delighted to see the plans for the Bridgeland veterans memorial that will break ground in July.
I’m always grateful for the way our community supports those who have fought for our freedom.

Honored to stand alongside leaders, law enforcement, and community advocates today in Houston as Governor Greg Abbott highlighted new public safety initiatives focused on keeping our communities safe and supporting law enforcement efforts across Texas.
It was a privilege to be present during the press release and to support initiatives aimed at strengthening public safety, addressing repeat violent offenders, and protecting families throughout our state. Grateful for the opportunity to stand with those committed to making Houston and all of Texas safer for everyone.
Thank you to everyone working every day to serve and protect our communities.

What an incredible event at the Katy EDC Mayor Panel. It was a great opportunity to hear valuable insights on growth, leadership, and the future of our communities from an outstanding group of leaders.
A special thank you to Dusty Thiele, Mayor of the City of Katy, Don McCoy Mayor of Fulshear, and Daphne Kirby Mayor of Pattinson for sharing their vision, experience, and dedication to serving our region. Events like this highlight the strong collaboration and forward-thinking leadership helping shape the future of West Houston and surrounding communities.
Grateful to everyone who attended and contributed to such an engaging and impactful discussion!

Thank you to Grace Fellowship Church and Katy Christian Ministries for hosting a free barbecue yesterday for our community’s veterans. It was a great gesture that was very much appreciated by the large group of veterans who spent their afternoon at Grace Fellowship.
