Parents - COUNT YOUR SATURDAYS.
There are approximately 940 SATURDAYS between birth & when our kids graduate from high school. Use this time well. Time flies quickly. Once your family starts the process for college preparations you will definitely realize that it's countdown time.
As a I reflected on this notion of 940 SATURDAYS & it reminded me that my time with my child was limited & valuable. When I started focusing on taking things week by week, I felt more in control of my emotions. Counting Saturdays made the process feel less hectic.🤗

HAPPY JUNETEENTH! Today I was reminded to appreciate & celebrate my freedom.
It's a blessing to reflect on our complex history, rich in both struggle and triumph, and to celebrate the freedom we have today.
I REMOVED all shackles from my mind, body & soul. I didn’t allow people & things to hold me back. It's a blessing to reflect & celebrate. We have such a rich yet painful history & definitely worthy of acknowledgement.
I AM BLACK & HONORED.

Frankly, extending second chances is not a standard practice nor automatic one for me. When offered I give them cautiously.
