Hey, did you know? It’s Graphic Novels in Libraries Month! Established in 2019 by Booklist, this initiative promotes and celebrates graphic novels, bringing essential skills and value to our developing readers.
“Emerging readers can read more complex stories when they are presented in a comic format than traditional text with illustrations.”
Take a moment to scroll and see some of our favorite and most popular graphic novels on the Cruiser!

Who taught the mascots these moves?! When we have long lines, it's good to think creatively! Northtale and Owlbotron love any excuse to move and dance 👯 Speaking of dancing, what are some fun summer activities you've been enjoying lately?
It’s National Mascot Day, and it wouldn’t be a celebration without favorite mascots- Northtale and Owlbotron! Together they bring excitement and joy to all of our special events, what would we do without them?? Here are a few silly moments with our favorite superheroes. They also wanted me to pass along this message- Reading is Our Superpower!
POV: Our library staff understood the assignment 🙌

The Curiosity Cruiser had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Texas Library Association convention this year here in Houston, Texas! Hosted at George R. Brown convention center, hundreds of academic and public librarians and teachers connected and engaged with Harris County Public Library and the Cruiser.
We had a blast talking to each and every one of you, as well as sharing what we do for our community with you all. We hope you've enjoyed meeting our amazing team members, including Northtale and Owlbotron. Where will the Cruiser go next?! Until then- stay curious!

March Madness shoots... and scores! We had a blast last week with our site visits, with March Madness theme programming 🏀 children at our sites made STEM catapults to launch "basketballs" (pom-poms) into hoops. We also had a wonderful time seeing our friend Clutch from the Houston Rockets! We love supporting our friends, perhaps we'll see Orbit next? ⛹️
