What started in Elizabeth Stone’s mother’s kitchen in the late 1980s as a favor for a friend has blossomed into a well-known and prestigious catering and special events company. It all began when Elizabeth offered to provide refreshments for a Christening as a gift to a dear friend who had recently adopted a baby. The following day, a phone call came from one of the guests that forever changed Elizabeth’s life and the lives of many others. “Do you cater?” The answer to that question was the beginning of The Stone Kitchen. Though the home kitchen, along with the help of loyal friends, provided a great base for catering, in 1992 Elizabeth’s mother challenged her to pursue her passion for extraordinary hospitality on a broader scale and move into an actual catering commissary. The following March, The Stone Kitchen moved to a commercial kitchen, and the journey toward a very successful, multimillion-dollar business and award-winning company continued. Over the next twenty years, Elizabeth and The Stone Kitchen team catered more than 15,000 events ranging from small, seated dinners to world-class soirées. With remarkable energy and relentless passion, Elizabeth rebranded the company in 2012 from The Stone Kitchen Catering to Silver Stone Events to honor its 25 years in business and to offer new and expanded services to clients. Today, Silver Stone’s highly experienced event planners specialize in catered events ranging from private residential parties and corporate functions to weddings, memorable celebrations, and large, complex events. Silver Stone’s philosophy incorporates a “Whatever it takes.” focus in creating the very best event experience for each client and every guest. With a continued commitment to excellence, the company demonstrates trust, integrity, innovation, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm.
