How many pills a day is too many? 😩 I’m currently taking 16 a day and the only way to get that done is by setting a trillion alarms on my phone starting at 5am most days. Her room now is a collection of remnants from her baby room and things added over her big girl journey. Our Nanit camera has been a staple through it all! When she was a baby and couldn’t touch anything her room was well curated and styled. As she’s gotten older I often wished her room was more intentional and “put together”. It’s a mix of miss matched bedding and costumes for pretend play but she loves it.
At some point as she got older and gained many new words, she noticed the little red light from the camera and asked me to turn it off because it was keeping her up. I unplugged it for her and that was the end of the camera. It happened so quickly and we didn’t think about it again for a long time. Recently I was helping her with some deeper cleaning and I moved the bed to sweep and get things that had fallen behind the bed (hello missing bonnet 😩) when I decided to FINALLY take the baby cam out of her room. It definitely hit me that my baby isn’t a baby anymore. I changed the room around a bit for her too not knowing if she’d like it because she does have VERY strong opinions. Her response was, “Thank you mommy, it’s so different.” I’m reminded that for growth, we don’t always need the “perfect” circumstances, sometimes we just need “different” ones. The smallest shift in environment can make a big impact. 🫶🏿 Any home decor brands that would like to help give her a room refresh, we are ready!
