Meet Andrea Witt, LLMSW — the newest member of the Midwest Behavioral Clinic team! 💚
Andrea knows that reaching out for support isn’t always easy. Her goal is to make therapy feel welcoming, comfortable, and judgment-free — a place where you can show up as you are and work through what’s happening at a pace that feels right for you.
She works primarily with teens, college students, young adults, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, and substance use concerns.
And because life doesn’t always fit neatly into a 9-to-5 schedule:
🌙 Evening appointments in Fenton
đź“… Saturday appointments in Grand Blanc
đź’» Evening & Saturday online therapy
Andrea is accepting new patients now.

Life has a funny habit of changing the plan without checking your calendar first.
A new job. A breakup. Parenting changes. Kids leaving home. Health concerns. Career stress. Loss. Retirement. Or simply realizing that the way you’ve always handled things isn’t working quite as well anymore.
Meet Dawn Hardin, LLMSW, a new therapist joining Midwest Behavioral Clinic in Howell who is accepting new patients now.
Dawn works with adolescents and adults as they navigate difficult emotions, relationships, stress, burnout, grief, anxiety, depression, identity, and major life transitions.
Her style is centered around understanding your individual story, recognizing the strengths you already have, and helping you develop healthier perspectives and patterns for whatever comes next.
Therapy doesn’t mean somebody hands you a completely new life.
It can help you get better tools for the one you already have.
Dawn is currently accepting new patients in Howell and through online therapy in Michigan.

Every child experiences the world a little differently.
Some children communicate differently. Some learn differently. Some feel everything at full volume. Some can explain how an entire video game works but suddenly forget every word they know when you ask, “How was school?”
Different does not mean broken.
Meet Tamara Sampson, M.A., LLP, a Limited Licensed Psychologist with 30 years of experience working with children. Tamara has specialized training and extensive experience supporting neurodivergent children, including children with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, cognitive challenges, anxiety, behavioral concerns, and mood disorders.
Her approach is developmental, trauma-informed, and individualized. Rather than focusing only on the behavior adults can see, Tamara works to understand the emotional, social, cognitive, developmental, and physical needs underneath it.
She also helps parents feel more confident in understanding and supporting their child—without expecting anyone in the family to have all the answers on day one.
Tamara sees clients in Grand Blanc and through online therapy in Michigan.

Life does not come with a service manual.
That would be convenient, especially on the days when every emotional warning light seems to turn on at the same time.
Meet Caira Trapp, LLMSW, a therapist at Midwest Behavioral Clinic who helps children, teens, adults, and couples better understand what they are feeling, how past experiences may be affecting the present, and what steps may help them move forward.
Caira works with concerns including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, family and relationship difficulties, substance use, grief, trauma, and major life transitions. Her style is warm, genuine, and easy to talk with—without judgment and without expecting you to have everything figured out before the first appointment.
Caira is currently accepting new clients in Highland and Howell MI and through telehealth / online therapy.

Being mentally tough doesn’t mean pretending nothing gets to you.
Athletes know this better than most. You can train hard, show up, push through, and still have days when your brain decides to run an entirely different play.
Meet **Samantha “Sam” Nowell, LLPC**, a therapist at Midwest Behavioral Clinic who works with children and adults, with a special focus on ages 5–25.
As a former college athlete herself, Sam understands the pressure that can come with performance, expectations, competition, school, relationships, and figuring out who you are beyond the scoreboard.
She works with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, sports performance, intense emotions, and life transitions. Her approach combines practical tools from CBT and DBT with motivational interviewing, acceptance, and strengths-based therapy.
The goal isn’t to “toughen up.” It’s learning how to understand what’s happening, develop better tools, and keep moving forward.
Sam is available in **Howell and through online therapy in Michigan**.

Kids do not come with an owner’s manual.
And somehow, “Have you tried turning them off and back on again?” is not considered sound parenting advice.
Meet Tamara Sampson, M.A., LLP, a Limited Licensed Psychologist with 30 years of experience helping children and families.
Tamara works with children experiencing autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, anxiety, behavioral challenges, mood concerns, school difficulties, trauma, and other developmental or emotional needs. She takes time to understand the whole child—their strengths, challenges, relationships, development, and individual way of experiencing the world.
Just as importantly, Tamara helps parents better understand what their child may be communicating through their emotions and behavior. Because sometimes a tough day is just a tough day—and sometimes it is a child asking for help in the only way they know how.
Tamara provides therapy in Grand Blanc and through online therapy in Michigan.
