PittFactor
I’m Matt Pittman, a USPSA competitor (A175770) documenting the grind; match runs, stage breakdowns, wins, mistakes, and everything in between. Pressure. Process.
PittFactor is the human variable. Progress. Where the plan meets reality at the beep.
Dry fire and JV Training Accessories go hand in hand. Putting my order in today. Long past over due to work dry fire with weighted mag inserts.
Attempting a scoop draw with a “non-scoop” draw capable holster is a pretty fun challenge. Cameron Tanner gave me some words of wisdom after my last dry fire session video with this new set up, he pointed me to Tyler Meisenheimer explaining the scoop draw, which is super informational and some elements can be applied to a sn**ch draw as well. I have been using a scoop draw the last seven months with my S2 and Double Alpha Flex holster, so a sn**ch draw is not something I’m super familiar with (keep in mind I’m on month 10 of the game).
Anyways, I hope this is helpful for somebody out there and I highly encourage you to go check out Turbo’s scoop info. It’s great.
TN Sectional Stages: 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, and 10 🫶🏼
Results: 34/101 LO | 80.86% of 1st Place | 91% Points 🤙🏼
P.S. That first stage, I lost my dot and my brain quickly thereafter 🤷🏻♂️
Alexander Cate “Tex” has a great explanation on his YouTube channel of what’s happening here and it’s not necessarily the extractor. This hasn’t happened since I switched out the HORRIBLE Team AC spring and follower 6 months ago. I will now be heavily polishing my S2 innards. ✌🏼🥷🏼
