What a summer. ❤️

Summer 2026 brought together people from across Cape Cod and around the world through Changing the World and our Hello Summer J-1 Program.

We welcomed international students, shared meals, celebrated cultures and music at our International Open Mic, kayaked and paddleboarded together, explored Boston, went whale watching, worshiped and prayed together, and built friendships that reached far beyond any single event.

We also gathered our community for the National Day of Prayer, child abuse prevention and awareness training, Simply Worship, Overdose Awareness, and the International Festival in Hyannis.

But the heart of this summer wasn’t the events.

It was the people.

Every number represents a name. Every student has a story. Every gathering creates an opportunity for connection. And every heart matters.

Sometimes changing the world begins with something as simple as sharing a meal, listening to someone’s story, and discovering how much we have in common.

To every donor, monthly supporter, volunteer, church, community partner, musician, speaker, prayer partner, and friend: **thank you.** You made Summer 2026 possible.

We’re looking forward to continuing this work throughout the rest of the year, and we invite you to be part of it through prayer, volunteering, partnership, and financial support.

**Changing the World — One Heart at a Time.**

Dr. Kumara Siddhartha, an experienced physician specializing in Foodist medicine, shares his extensive experience and learnings from 30 years of medical practice. The talk centers around his book, which uses stories from nine of his patients to highlight the crucial role of food in preventing and reversing various health issues like cancer, diabetes, heart disease, autoimmune diseases, and dementia. The book is structured as dialogues where characters have internal conversations with their bodies, emphasizing the importance of listening to one’s own body. Dr. Siddhartha also delves into the benefits of a whole food, plant-based diet, the importance of dietary fiber for gut health, and how certain plant-based foods can act as preventative measures against severe illnesses. He concludes by discussing the need for holistic lifestyle changes including stress management, social connections, and a sense of purpose for overall well-being.
