Massachusetts, this is what Question 9 is actually about.
Chapter 135 is already law.
It changed Massachusetts firearm regulations across licensing, training, serialization, certain firearm restrictions, ERPO procedures and more. Supporters describe those changes as public-safety measures. The Civil Rights Coalition argues they place additional burdens on people who are already trying to legally own and carry fi****ms.
And now Massachusetts voters get the final say.
On November 3, Question 9 asks voters whether Chapter 135 should remain in place.
A YES vote keeps the law. 🤮
A NO vote repeals it. 🙌🏼
That distinction matters because this isn’t a hypothetical debate about what Massachusetts MIGHT do someday.
The law is already here. The referendum is happening now.

Our EVP, Rob Pincus joined Toby Leary, Mark Smith, the 2A Coalition Team and a great crowd of Massachusetts Gun Owners to raise awareness and funds for the fight against Unconstitutional Gun Laws in MA.
The grassroots work they’ve done in the State has created huge opportunity for people to push back by voting NO on 9 in November!

A few excerpts from todays SHNS political party recommendations news article; https://pro.stateaffairs.com/ma/politics/pm-campaign-notebook-weekend-of-cannabis-action-debate-over-debates-gops-ballot-qs-guide? The Mass. Republican Party made its view of the nine-question slate of ballot proposals that will greet voters at the polls on or before Nov. 3, advising Bay Staters. The MassGOP also urged voters to check the no box on Question 9. That question asks whether the state's 2024 gun control law should stay on the books; if "no" prevails, the law would be repealed.
The Boston Globe reported Monday morning that members of the Massachusetts Democratic State Committee voted to support a yes vote to keep the 2024 gun law.
