Some of the most meaningful moments in sports have nothing to do with the final results.

At Eastlake High School, the cross country team has built a culture where every athlete is supported, encouraged, and valued for who they are.

This year, the team is led by a senior captain and four-year runner who proudly represents the neurodivergent community as an athlete with autism. His teammates don't just run alongside him. They celebrate him, support him, and have helped create an environment where everyone has the opportunity to belong.

Because sometimes the most important thing a team builds isn't a record. It's a community.
