Daylight is getting shorter!

we lose an hour and 15 minutes from the start of the month to Halloween.

Despite the crisp mornings ahead, our high temps (and eventually low temps later this week) will be running slightly above average - possibly pushing 80° late in the week.

It's a crisp star this morning - but we're in for a beauty of a day. Abundant sunshine, low humidity, and typical October temps in the upper 60s/lower 70s! Enjoy it!

My big kids are on a school field trip to Washington DC. They are having a great time and enjoying some pretty beautiful weather so far in the nations capital!

FRIDAY - Rain is pushing through along a front this morning. Nothing severe, but bus stop/morning commute will be impacted. Temps have already hit maximum - so expect mid/upper 60s through this afternoon under cloudy skies.

The numbers are official - Sept. 2026 is the hottest on record in Indy, with an average temp of 73.8°. The previous record was just 7 years ago.

A massive contributor was the 9 days we had over 90° high temps - the most in the month since 1961 (10), and the 4th most for the month on record. . .

𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡 ⛈

A cold front will march through the state on Friday - this should bring a decent dose of showers and possibly even a weak thunderstorm. No severe weather is expected.

Well above average temperatures are expected both today and tomorrow, but we will trend sharply cooler this weekend through the first half of next week.
