Apollo is waiting for his "pyrfect" adopter. He wants an active human with no other pets, and no young humans. He would prefer someone who has experience with the breed and understands Great Pyrenees' nuances. He is housebroken and rides well in vehicles, and loves going for walks. Little Luna is still searching for a medical foster. She is less than two years old, good with other dogs, and most likely cats. She was not reclaimed from the shelter by her owners. Luna is very loving and friendly and loves attention.

Luna has heartworm, and has already completed the pre-treatment antibiotics and will be getting the injections to kill the heartworm in about a month. After she is treated, she will need to have very limited activity for 30 days.

To make matters worse, she has a genetic defect on her rear left leg, where her knee cap is on the back side of her leg, causing her to not being able to put any weight on it. She will be eligible for surgery once her heartworm treatment is over.

She needs a foster or forever home where she can recover from her treatment and surgery for the next few months. Please apply at Igpr.org

Come join us this Sunday, June 14th(Flag day) from 1-3 pm to meet the dogs in boarding to walk, brush and interact with them.

New volunteers will need to attend a short orientation. Once you have completed the training, you can come any time during open kennel hours to volunteer with the dogs.

Want to help earn money for IGPR? Lucas Oil stadium gives us the opportunity to earn money for Indy Great Pyrenees Rescue-
$20 per hour per volunteer plus tips goes to IGPR for staffing a food and beverage stand at the Colts games and concerts.

You will need to attend a short training, get a liquor license, and complete an online course for serving alcoholic beverages. We provide an IGPR apron and hat- you need black pants and black shoes to wear. Volunteers raised close to $8000 for IGPR last year by volunteering!
