I say, rules and pie crusts are meant to be broken
Feeding you is how I say I love you ❤️
Feeding the people I love is one of my love languages, so tonight’s family dinner was all of my favorites, all on one table. Here’s how I made everything:
🍗 **Breaded Chicken Steaks**
I season the chicken steaks with salt, garlic powder and onion powder. I usually like them with the skin on. Then I add a generous coat of mayo and breadcrumbs and bake until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Sometimes I flip them halfway through.
🥩 **Surprise Steak on the Grill**
I season it with some spices and grill it for about 8 minutes on each side. It was fantastic!
🥔 **Chunky Mashed Potatoes**
Yukon potatoes, margarine, mayo and lots of sautéed onions. Keep them chunky!
🫛 **Garlic Green Beans**
Green beans, salt, garlic and margarine. Simple and so good.
🥢 **Pastrami Egg Rolls & Spring Rolls**
No exact recipe here, just feel! I sauté onions with lots of cabbage, then add a little apple c***r vinegar, salt, pepper and some brown sugar. The pastrami goes in at the end. Roll and fry until golden.
🥟 **Chicken Wontons**
Folded one at a time, with love.
The food is how I say it, but sitting around the table together is the best part. 🤍

I could have planned a big, beautiful first birthday party… but at the end of the day, all a girl really wants is to celebrate with her best friends. 🥹🧸🐻❄️🐵🐰🎈
So while Belle slept, every stuffed animal she has ever loved put on a birthday hat, grabbed a balloon, and waited by the door to surprise her.
One whole year of our beautiful sunny girl. The sweetest little celebration for the greatest gift of our lives. Happy first birthday, Belle. You are so deeply loved. 🤍 Mama & Papa

This isn’t about buying more.
It’s about spending intentionally.
Some of these protect my peace.
Some save me time.
Some make ordinary days feel more joyful.
And one… represents years of hope.
These are the expensive things that, for me, were worth every penny.
What would make your list? ❤️

Being an adult has taught me that the to-do list somehow grows faster than I can check things off. 😂

Restaurant-worthy without the reservation. 🍷
🥩 Perfectly cooked hanger steak
🧄 Garlicky green beans
🥔 Creamy, chunky mashed potatoes
I’d order this again… even if I was the one who made it. 😉
We spend so much energy trying to convince people of our worth. Sometimes the answer isn’t convincing them. Sometimes it’s continuing to grow until you naturally find yourself at a different table.
The people who value you won’t need an explanation.
