$43 Million Wrangell Grant Award.

Southeast Alaska’s commercial fisheries support families, businesses, and communities throughout our region and State.
Today, I asked Governor Dunleavy to pursue a federal Fishery Resource Disaster Determination for the 2026–2027 Southeast Alaska commercial Dungeness crab fishery.
With continued low harvests and reduced fishing opportunities, the impacts are being felt by fishermen, crews, processors, businesses, and communities across Southeast Alaska.
I appreciate the Governor and his Administration’s consideration of this request. I look forward to working together with the state, federal, and local governments to support our commercial fishing communities.
