Everyone check out this new funeral doom band from China, Xié Gòu: https://xiegou.bandcamp.com/album/- ... very interesting release with traditional Chinese instrumentation that reminds me a bit of Begraebnis that I've interviewed in Convivial Hermit #10.

Speaking of which, issues of both Ethere 1 and Convivial Hermit 9 and 10 are still available, order now at my Convivial Hermit bigcartel or Bleeding Heart Nihilist Prod. if you are outside of USA! Thanks!

For anyone interested in my top albums of 2025, you can check out my list(s) here: https://www.convivialhermit.net/top2025albums

I know most hipsters have these lists done at end of November/beginning of December but I need some time to absorb what I hear. Only a few doom albums appeared, but appear they did. Happy 2026, everybody!

And P.S. Issues of Ethere & Convivial Hermit are still available! Non-standard interviews, eccentric reviews, weird articles, we are your men...
