TM Metal Design

So I made this one for a special aunt and uncle. They make a trip from Texas and come through Montana from time to time. They always invite me to dinner when they come through so I wanted to do something special for them! Here are some pics. They mentioned a simple cutout to identify themselve's at their RV campground, haha. I used a lot of natural metal colors along with a powder coat white for the mountains, and a metalcast green paint for for the grass. The border and names are patina rusted, the backplate polished, the trees blued, and the firepit and chairs blued to lower temps. Everything clear coated. Hey special aunt and uncle, you know who you are and it would be great to see you again!

A small but fun rail job. Used 1X2 top and mid rail(mid rail is vertical) then 1.5 sq. tubing for posts all .120 wall. The downward and outward angles for the 1X2 was tricky but got it figured out. Some small jobs can be tricky but fun in the end! Thank You for your business Robert!

Another art work one. In my early posts, I posted a fish cut out that Vera had drawn for her's and her husband Vaughns deck. They sold the house and Vera drew up another insert to greet the new owners. Amazing job Vera and great idea! 1st pic is Vera's drawing (to closely match the first, fish pic), second is her drawing designed in Q-CAD, 3rd is completed product polished out (10G metal thickness). This one was a fun project! The stairway railing is designed to bolt on to the outside stringer and the upper balcony landing railing. Not welded. Turned out great! Thank you for veiwing my post!

Yes, I still do artwork as well. When it comes to that, I really prefer metal bluing for the colors along with rusting and burnishing. It's certainly not a wide range of colors, but steel looks better as steel. Just my prference, that's all. This one has no paint. I did however put a clear powder coat over it all to prevent rusting.

This one is a fence job. It is a job I worked with KD Welding on. My part was to weld up the panel frames, weld in the meshing, and cut the baseplates and caps for the posts. Keith with KDW was the designer for this project and did an excellent job as you will see in the pics! Thank you for the business Keith!

This one is a table. I was given a paper drawing with the design and all the dimensions listed. This was another fun one! Tom did a great job with the drawing and he did all of the wood work as well! I only built the steel frame. Great vision Tom! I am happy to finally be posting this!

This one is for some fuel nozzle stands at the local airport. There were 4 total. Just a better way to store these nozzles while not in use.
