BIG BEND NATIONAL PARK - TEXAS.
One of my favorites national parks. I did a lot of hiking. BBNP is HUGE! Saw both fresh bear and mountain lion s**t on my trail. 117° - love the heat.

BIG BEND NATIONAL PARK - TEXAS.
One of my favorites. The darkest skies in the continental US. The stars go from horizon to horizon. The sky is huge! It’s a vast, remote and isolated. It runs along the Rio Grande. And my favorite weather….hot 117° most days, got down to brisk 90s at night. I love it.
We are also hiking a lot.

The 1956 movie GIANT starring James Dean, Liz Taylor, & Rock Hudson, was filmed in MARFA, Texas.
The exterior of James Dean’s character was shot at this ranch. There are now huge cut-outs along the road. You can still see the original films windmill and fence! WOW!

Hotel Paisano was where the cast lived in town. The theatre was where they screened the daily sits from the day. It was so cool!
