I still remember it like it was yesterday, exactly where I was, what the air felt like, and every single moment as the world changed.

Twenty years later, that morning still feels heavy, but what sticks with me even more is what happened next. Out of the darkest heartbreak, we saw a wave of national unity that I’ll never forget. People who were strangers just minutes before suddenly became family, looking out for one another and stepping up to help in any way they could.

We proved that our real power isn't in what can be broken, but in how we show up for each other when everything falls apart. We became stronger because we chose hope over fear and togetherness over division.

Today, let’s honor the lives lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, and the families who have carried this weight for two decades. Let's remember the strength we found in one another, and keep bringing that same spirit of unity into the world today.

One year ago today an assassin silenced one of the strongest young voices for the Second Amendment.

Charlie Kirk treated the Second Amendment as the practical backstop for every other right, not as a hunting or sporting clause.

His most consistent line was that the 2A exists so free people can resist a government that turns on them. Hunting and everyday self-defense matter, he said, but they are secondary. “There is no 1st without the 2nd.”

Policy-wise he opposed new federal fi****ms restrictions and argued violence is driven more by fatherlessness, mental health, and a culture that treats disagreement as a reason to shoot than by legal gun ownership. He routinely told audiences to buy fi****ms and ammunition and to carry where the law allows.

After his assassination, his widow restated the same framework: the problem is not the tool; it is people who treat political disagreement as a license for murder.

Every year we close down for Labor Day weekend for a well needed mini vacation after the busy summer season to catch up on rest and have some fun ourselves.
