The Midland Center for the Arts (MCFTA) is home to the Alden B Dow Museum of Science & Art. 50,000+ people visit every year for both fixed and rotating exhibits dedicated to hands-on learning and problem solving using science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Capital Imaging created vinyl decals, shape-cut signage, and floor-to-ceiling banners to convey the fun, innovative, and creative focus of the activities. Conceptualized and installed by ReWerk in Grand Rapids.

Big transformations sometimes come with tight timelines.

When Gillespie Group and designer Bob Patten needed help transforming a Lansing staple into Unicorn Tavern, Capital Imaging helped bring the creative vision to life—in just three days.

Our team supported the project with creative problem-solving, print production management and on-site installation. The finished space features specialty vinyl graphics applied directly to brick for a painted-on appearance, along with a custom unicorn photo wall designed to create a memorable guest experience.

Michigan State Police (MSP) celebrates 100 years of service this year (2017) and we had the honor of installing display signage into a new museum space they just opened at their Lansing headquarters. All the graphics were designed by MSP, printed on aluminum panels by Capital Imaging, and carefully installed by us using quality hanging systems. We thank all the men and women who have come and gone throughout these 100 years for their service and dedication to keeping us safe.

When Discount Tire renovated its Great Lakes Regional Office in Okemos, Capital Imaging served as the local Michigan installation partner, working alongside Image Craft in Phoenix to transform the facility with immersive environmental graphics and workplace branding.

The completed space features large-scale wall murals, dimensional acrylic lettering, room identification signs, custom vinyl graphics, and framed corporate artwork. Behind every element was detailed field verification, thoughtful production consultation, careful coordination, and precise installation.

The result is a unified workplace that celebrates Discount Tire’s history, reinforces its values, and creates a consistent brand experience for employees and visitors.

We're honored to have been part of the new permanent exhibit at the R.E. Olds Transportation Museum, Assembled in Lansing: Building a Workforce. Building a Union.

This exhibit tells the story of Lansing's labor movement and the people whose work helped build the region's automotive legacy.

Jennifer Lohman of Soloh Focus created a thoughtful and engaging exhibit design that brings these stories to life. Capital Imaging had the privilege of producing and installing the graphics and display components throughout the exhibit.

Projects like this remind us how powerful visual storytelling can be when it connects people to their history and community.
