Real Lansing FC

What a couple of weekends for RLFC Elite teams.
🖤💛

The weekend before last, two of our teams competed in the Capital Area Autumn Classic and both won. This weekend, our players took the field for six more games, finishing with five wins and one draw.

The results are exciting, but the pictures tell the full story: trophies, time together in downtown Detroit (many of which was their first time), pizza after the games, and a night at a DCFC match. The kids had an amazing time on and off the field.

The part we love is that it was our “opponents” across the state helped make it happen.

Thank you to the Lakeshore FC parent who donated. We got both teams Little Ceasars after their matches.

Thank you to Detroit City FC City Select coaches and parents for hooking us up with tickets to the Detroit City FC match.

Thank you Jason Barron from Nationals for getting us into the Autumn Classic tournament. It was awful weather but the kids loved every second.

Thank you to Unclemarkslemonades for just randomly seeing us in Detroit and generously giving us FREE lemonade for the kids.

Generosity from so many gave these kids an experience they’ll remember much longer than any scoreline. This is what soccer can be. ⚽️

Please visit www.reallansingfc.org to donate and create more memories and possibilities for Lansing youth.

Our organization is fortunate to receive support this year from Uplift Our Youth Foundation. This will be used for our after-school soccer and tutoring programs, to keep them free for Lansing families. Congrats to all the other awardees, working to help Lansing kids succeed.

📢 RLFL Schedule Update

Due to the heavy rain this weekend, there will be no practice today. Our fields need additional time to drain and absorb the water.

⚽ We will return Wednesday, September 23.
🚫 There will be no soccer Friday, September 25, because there is no school.

Interested in volunteering? Please respond to our parent email or reach out to [email protected].

⚠️ SCHEDULE CHANGE FOR THIS WEEK ⚠️

There will be NO SCORE After-School Program or Real Lansing Football League today (Monday).

Monday’s sessions have been moved to Thursday. This week, we will meet:

⚽ SCORE After-School Program: 2:45–6:00 PM
Students from later-dismissal schools may arrive when they can.

⚽ Real Lansing Football League: 6:00–7:15 PM

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding. We’ll see everyone Wednesday!

Our chess/soccer coach Pavan, deep in thought during a recent ♟️ tournament. Great shot!

I believe this is Pavan Kannan, but with such a close-up, I am not sure... Love the picture anyway.

SOCCER IS BACK!!!
Our U12 Boys are hosting Ann Arbor United SC this afternoon in the September sunshine.
