✨ Supply Spotlight: Mica Powder

That little jar of colorful, sparkly powder you’ve seen around the studio? Yep, that’s mica powder.

Mica is a fine mineral pigment that adds color and shimmer, and we use it in all kinds of creative projects.

We’re starting a new monthly series to spotlight some of our favorite craft supplies and show you what we use them for. Because sometimes the stuff on the supply shelf is just as fun as what we make with it. 😉

What supply should we spotlight next?

🌱 Fall Break Plans next week? We've got the dirt.

✨ All-ages

This is the best part of making resin geodes! The moment you pop your piece out of the mold and see what you actually ended up with. 🪨 ✨️

Resin takes about 24 hours to cure, and everyone comes back another day to collect their finished pieces. The look on people's faces when they see what they made is one of our favorite parts of this workshop.

Want to make your own? You're in luck! The next Resin Geodes Workshop is coming up this weekend. They make great drink coasters or interesting art for your shelf.
