We are proud to celebrate our amazing Leander ISD Visual Arts educators for helping our district earn recognition as a District of Distinction by the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) for a 2nd year!
This prestigious honor recognizes school districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in visual arts education through high-quality instruction, student opportunities, community engagement, and a commitment to fostering creativity in every learner.
This recognition is a reflection of the passion, dedication, and talent our visual arts teachers bring to their classrooms each and every day. Thank you for inspiring students to think creatively, express themselves confidently, and see the world through the eyes of an artist.
Congratulations on this well-deserved achievement—we are so proud of you!

Wiley Middle School Art 1 students ended the year creating ceramic planters. Lowe's Home Improvement donated the beautiful begonias they filled them with.
Just wanted to say thank you to our local Leander Lowe's Home Improvement for supporting our coyotes, and sending our 8th graders home with a beautiful plant for their finished planters.
Thank you to everyone who came out to our end of the year art show. If you did not get a chance to order your student’s art, the online Artome store is open til Monday 5/11. (Link in comments)
