6 REASONS WOMEN OVER 40 SHOULD BE LIFTING WEIGHTS 👇

I'm here for #6!

Strength training can help you:

1️⃣ Maintain muscle
Because muscle matters more as we age—not less.

2️⃣ Support your bones
Resistance training provides a valuable stimulus for bone health.

3️⃣ Support a healthy metabolism
Building and maintaining muscle is an important part of healthy body composition.

4️⃣ Improve balance & stability
Because staying upright—and recovering when you stumble—matters.

5️⃣ Support your joints
Stronger muscles can help you move with greater control and confidence.

6️⃣ Build confidence
There's something powerful about realizing, “Hey…I'm stronger than I thought.”

This isn't about punishing your body.

It's about preparing your body for the life you want to live.

More adventures.
More travel.
More play.
More independence.
More living.

Happy Dolly Day. Of all the relevant and resonant witty wisdom Dolly shared with us, I love this one.

Paving isn't borrowing - it is forging.
Paving isn't browsing - it is building.
Paving isn't subtle - it is intense.
Paving isn't gentle - it is work.

We are grateful today for the ones who forge, build, and put in the intense work to make the time we have here together a little better, a little happier, a little brighter, a little bit more sparkling.

Thanks, Dolly.

“I'm over 40. Isn't it too late to start strength training?”

Absolutely not.

And honestly? Your 40s, 50s and beyond may be when you need it most.

Here's what happens when we don't challenge our muscles:

We gradually lose strength and muscle as we age.

But here's the good news:

You can still build strength.

You can start where you are.
You can modify exercises.
You can progress gradually.
And you can get stronger at almost any age.

Because the goal isn't to compete with the 25-year-old version of yourself.

The goal is to build a body that can support the 60-, 70-, and 80-year-old version of you.

Think about that.

You aren't training for your past.

You're training for your future.

Train for the life you want.

If you've been telling yourself you're “too old” to start, GO READ the full article on our blog—"Strength Training for Women Over 40 - and take one small step toward getting stronger this week.

Jenn is a busy lady! She doesn’t have time to get injured working out. She was looking for safe strength training and a trainer she could trust to provide “proper and effective” technique.

At TrainMovePlay, she met Martin and she says, “Not only is he knowledgeable about functional strength training in general,…

but he understands the importance of incorporating mobility into your routine to support injury prevention.” She also says,…

“Martin is a great trainer that listens to your goals and helps you achieve them.” Which is, honestly, Martin’s super power.

Follow us. And then,

HERE'S WHAT NOBODY TELLS YOU ABOUT GETTING STRONGER AFTER 40…

Strength isn't just about what happens when you're holding a dumbbell.

It's about what happens when you put the dumbbell down.

It's being able to:

🏋️ Carry your suitcase through the airport.
🛒 Bring all the groceries inside in one trip.
🌳 Pick up and play with your kids or grandkids.
🥾 Take the hike you know is beautiful this time of year.
🧳 Travel without worrying about whether your body can keep up.
🏡 Move furniture, work in the garden, or tackle the weekend project.

Strength gives you options.

And the stronger you are, the more possibilities you say, "Yes!" to.

That's why we don't train to look 20 years younger.

We train so you can keep doing the things that make life worth living.
