๐๐พ Woodruff Wildcats help stop bullying! ๐พ๐
Throughout October, students will focus on learning how to prevent bullying in their classrooms. ๐โจ We kicked off the month with an assembly introducing our four core rules for bullying prevention: ๐
๐ Recognize bullying.
๐ฃ Report bullying.
โ Refuse bullying.
๐ช Use our bystander power.
Our Student Council team helped model the 3 Rโs โ Recognize, Report, and Refuse โ through skits, actions, and a fun chant! ๐ญ๐๐ฃ
Together, we can make Woodruff a place where everyone feels safe, respected, and included! ๐๐ค๐พ

Twelve years apart, one shared tradition. At the Grizzly Pride handoff, our seniors welcomed our newest kindergartners to the family and reminded us all what it means to wear crimson and gold.
"Grizzly Pride is not just about us, but all those kids in the middle and elementary schools who will one day enter this great school."
Welcome home, Class of 2039!

Meet Our Principal!
If you've walked the halls of Woodruff, you've probably seen Mr. Bennett doing his favorite thing, being right there with our students. He's been our principal since January 2018 (nearly nine years!), following a 20-year career as a special education teacher across elementary, middle, and high school. A short stint at the district office taught him one thing fast: he missed being in a school with kids every single day.
Ask him his favorite part of the job and the answer is simple. It's the students. Getting to know them, chatting in the hallways, and watching them learn and grow is what brings him back each morning. A close second? The faculty and staff who live out our Woodruff motto every day: "We do whatever it takes."
His goal this year is to keep making Woodruff a place where every student is challenged, supported, and knows there are adults here who believe in them.
Outside of school, family is everything. He and his wife have four children and nine grandkids, who lovingly call him "Pops." He's a lifelong sports fan (Pirates, Bears, Jazz, and Real Salt Lake) and these days you'll most likely find him on the pickleball court three or four times a week.
In his words: "I want our families to know that we truly care about their children, and every day we will do whatever it takes to help them feel safe, valued, supported, and successful at Woodruff."

Our students rolled up their sleeves and made a real difference during Cache Valley Service Day! With the leadership of our Student Council, Wildcats came together to serve our school and our community in some wonderful ways.
Students helped clean up the grounds outside our school, keeping Woodruff looking its best for everyone. They also created cheerful placemats for Meals on Wheels, adding a little brightness to meals delivered across our community. On top of that, our students made heartfelt cards for local Police Officers, Firefighters, and residents in assisted living facilities, letting them know just how much they are appreciated.
We are so proud of our students for their kindness, hard work, and willingness to give back. Days like this remind us that even our youngest Wildcats can make a big impact. A huge thank you to our Student Council for leading the way!
