🇬🇧 Today, Rehoboth Acres took a trip to Great Britain! 🇬🇧

Our Citizens enjoyed an amazing Day of Inclusion filled with learning, laughter, food, music, and a little British adventure—no passport required! ✈️💙

Our Citizens learned all about the Union Jack, the British royal family, and the King, along with some of the fun differences between American and British English. Did you know that in Britain, biscuits are what we call cookies? 🇬🇧🍪

And of course, no trip to Great Britain would be complete without High Tea! ☕️🫖 Our Citizens enjoyed tea, scones, finger sandwiches, shortbread, and delicious Jammie Dodgers—those tasty jam-filled British biscuits!

We also listened to music by The Beatles, adding even more British fun to our day! 🎶🇬🇧

These experiences are about so much more than having fun. Our Days of Inclusion give our Citizens opportunities to learn about the world, experience new things, build social skills, make memories, and discover that there is a big world waiting for them to explore. 🌎💙

A HUGE thank you to Rebecca Holland for creating such a thoughtful, creative, and memorable day for our Citizens! Your heart for our Citizens and your willingness to make room for them to experience new things is such a gift to Rehoboth Acres. 💚

$22,000 Reasons to Say THANK YOU! 💙💚

Today was a special day at Rehoboth Acres! We were honored to welcome SWEPCO as they presented us with a $22,000 grant check for building improvements, presented by Mark Robinson.

This generous grant allowed us to purchase three brand-new HVAC units for our building—something we desperately needed and are incredibly grateful to have!

For our Citizens, reliable heating and air conditioning is about so much more than comfort. Many of the adults we serve are sensitive to changes in temperature, and maintaining a consistent, comfortable environment helps create a space where they can learn, participate, worship, build friendships, and thrive. With a growing number of Citizens and more of our building being used each day, having dependable HVAC systems is an important part of providing a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

We are so thankful for organizations like SWEPCO who see the value in what is happening at Rehoboth Acres and choose to invest in our Citizens and our future. 💙
