Flatland Snapbacks
Built for the 806
West Texas grit, stitched in leather
No gimmicks. Just Flatland.
Born on the plains of West Texas, Flatland Snapbacks was built on a simple idea — hats should have character. Our designs draw from the landscapes, weathered textures, and hard-working spirit of the region. Every hat is made with attention to detail, from the curve of the brim to the quality of the patchwork. We release our designs in small batches, making each drop feel like something worth chasing. Whether you’re wearing it on the ranch, in town, or on the road, it’s more than a hat — it’s part of your story.

🚨 FLATLAND UPDATE 🚨
Well… things changed. 😂
A LOT has happened since my last post — and honestly, it’s all good. Exciting, actually. There’s been a turn in the road that I absolutely did not see coming a couple of weeks ago.
So let me explain.
My last post about stepping away from Flatland was genuine. At the time, I truly believed that was the direction I was headed.
Then something clicked.
After a lot of prayer, conversations with my family, and taking a step back to look at the bigger picture, I realized something:
I don’t have to walk away from Flatland. I just need to do Flatland differently.
Running a business is hard. Running one by yourself while trying to grow it is even harder. As Flatland has grown, so have the demands — and I started realizing that the stress and time required were bleeding over into the part of my life that matters most: my family.
GOD has called me to lead my wife and kids, and that responsibility comes first.
So instead of walking away, I’m making some intentional changes that allow me to continue building Flatland while also being the husband and father I’m called to be.
Here’s what Flatland looks like moving forward:
1️⃣ No more pop-ups for the foreseeable future.
2️⃣ No more customs.
3️⃣ Flatland products will continue to be available at our booth inside KK’s Craft Mall — M7 — which has been fully restocked.
And honestly?
I’m excited about Flatland again.
I get to focus on our own designs, our own products, and the parts of this business that I genuinely love — without trying to do everything, be everywhere, and carry it all myself.
I’m incredibly grateful for every person who has supported Flatland along the way. Every purchase, booth visit, conversation, share, recommendation, and encouraging word has helped get us to this point.
There’s no bitterness here. No regret. Just a realization that the way I was doing things needed to change.
Sometimes GOD doesn’t close the door.
Sometimes HE shows you a better way through it.
I’m excited for this next chapter, and I’m trusting GOD to lead every step.
Thank you for continuing to ride with Flatland. 🙏🏻
This isn’t an easy post to make.
After a lot of thought, prayer, and some difficult conversations, I’ve made the decision to step away from Flatland Snapbacks.
What started as an idea became something far bigger than I ever expected. I’ve met some incredible people, built friendships, learned more than I ever thought I would, and had the opportunity to create something that was truly mine.
To everyone who ever bought a hat, shared a post, stopped by a booth, recommended me to a friend, or simply supported what I was building — thank you. You helped make this chapter what it was, and I’ll always be grateful for that.
But sometimes GOD redirects us before we understand exactly where He’s leading us.
Right now, I believe HE is calling my family and me in a different direction. I don’t have every detail figured out, but I’ve learned that following GOD doesn’t always mean having the whole road mapped out. Sometimes it simply means taking the next step in faith.
So I’m closing this chapter with a grateful heart — not a bitter one.
Flatland Snapbacks will always be a part of my story. I’m proud of what we built, proud of the people I met along the way, and thankful for every person who was part of it.
For the time being, you’ll still find Flatland Snapbacks at KK’s Corner Mall, with a fresh restock coming soon.
Thank you for believing in Flatland.
Now it’s time to see where GOD takes us next. 🙏🏻
