Everytime I wear this hat people want to talk University Of Texas Longhorn football... they say hook 'em and all... Sunday I was at the Fed Ex store. Those ladies love the Longhorns and Arch Manning. ... and again a few weeks ago wearing the hat the dude at the deli counter cutting my pepper turkey at Smiths mistook the logo on my hat for the UT Longhorns steer and kept talking about Arch Manning... Its all good. its all cool.

The difference is the UT Longhorn steer has ears. This hat is the Pit Masters Supply in Layton. . No ears on their steers ... lol 😆 😆 😆

Don't get me wrong, I love the Utes but I'm cheering for The Aggies today. It's great to see them play on TV. Utes look great as expected.

Go Big Blue!!

The Utah Utes and Utah State Aggies have played each other 112 or is it 114 times in football, with their historic rivalry known as the Battle of the Brothers.

Rivalry History

First Game: Played on November 25, 1892, when Utah State (then the Agricultural College of Utah) beat Utah 12–0 in Logan as the first intercollegiate game for both programs.

Today is National Radio Day! 🎶

Here's a picture of my radio... Bob-FM doesn't have any stickers and neither did the other 7 radio stations I've been on... well, wait... some had stickers, but they are too big for my radio. 😆

The band will continue...

ZZ Top's 'The Big One!' tour is back with two special shows at Austin City Limits, honoring longtime drummer Frank Beard at one of his favorite venues. 🤍

Frank’s signature backbeat helped define ZZ Top’s sound for generations.

About Frank Beard's Drumming w ZZ TOP

The ZZ Top song "La Grange" features Frank Beard most prominently, possibly more than other ZZ Top tracks. Even though "Gimme All Your Lovn'" is strong with Frank's Drumming, It's on "La Grange" that the spotlight is on Frank Beard.

Frank is highlighted through his iconic Texas shuffle and the signature snare/foot fill that directly introduces Billy Gibbons' guitar solo.

Why the Drums Stand Out on "La Grange"

The Opening Rim Clicks: The song starts with un-miked, minimalist hand and foot-free rim clicks on the snare before dropping into the heavy groove.

The Texas Shuffle: Beard holds down a legendary, perfectly timed half-time shuffle that propels the entire track without ever overpowering the guitar riff.

The Transition Fill: Just before the legendary guitar solo breaks out, Beard delivers a sharp, snappy triplet fill that acts as the launching pad for the rest of the band.
