Just five more minutes!
Yep. It's September 21, 2026, and I'm looking back at that beautiful post from September 1 that said renovations would take "1–2 weeks."
How I love to be youthfully optimistic.
The good news is that we're much closer to completing the roastery than when we started. The less surprising news is that, like many worthwhile projects, we're running a little behind schedule. 😅
Our realistic hope is to resume operations the week of September 28 or October 5, just in time for our return to the local market scene for fall and holiday markets. (We'll post our schedule soon.)
Since September 1, we've cleaned, coated floors, installed insulation, framed walls, run electrical, and started transforming a detached building into a functioning coffee roastery.
Here are a few photos of the progress we've made. We feel like we're close.
We just need five more minutes.
Tomorrow we start commercializing our new to us roasting space. Roasting the last batches before we disconnect the roaster for 1-2 weeks!
Last roast before construction! 🏗️
We'll be roasting a large batch of Timeless tomorrow before our roasting machine goes offline for 1-2 weeks while we begin renovations on our new roastery building.
If you'd like coffee from this roast (or if you want us to roast any of our other available coffees), please place your order by 12:00 PM CT tomorrow (September 1).
A few other updates:
🫘 12 oz, 2 lb, and 5 lb bags now available
📍 Free pickup at The Shack on Rainbow Drive
🚗 Local delivery: $5 flat rate, free on orders of $60+
📦 Shipping: $7 flat rate, free on orders of $60+
While construction is underway, we'll share a few behind-the-scenes updates from the build-out and some early thoughts on this fall's roasting menu. We'll share plenty here, but some of the finer details often make their way into our newsletter first.
Thank you for supporting our family business. We're excited to show you what's next.

Final batch of Bramble 🫐. Final summer market ☀️. But it's not the end. ☕️
Tomorrow I'm roasting the last batch Bramble, our Ethiopia Yirgacheffe natural process coffee. It'll yield just six 1 lb bags, and our email subscribers got first word earlier this week.
If you've been meaning to try Bramble (or stock up), now's the time. Those six bags will be available for preorder ahead of our final summer appearance at the Madison City Farmers Market this Saturday, 8/29 8am-12pm.
The good news? I'm actively working on getting more of the Ethiopia Yirgacheffe beans that make Bramble possible. I might have an update to share as soon as soon as next week.
And while this is our last summer market for the season, Little Arrows Coffee isn't going anywhere. 😊 We have a variety of coffees available year-round through online ordering, with pickup at several convenient locations, local delivery, and shipping anywhere in Alabama.
Friday Bramb-doodling
Roasting Bramble for some pickup orders and for the Madison City Farmers Market tomorrow 8/22!
A Season for Everything ☕➡️⚽
There’s a season for everything.
This summer has been a great one for Little Arrows Coffee, and I’ve really enjoyed spending Saturday mornings at the Madison City Farmers Market—seeing familiar faces, meeting new people, and talking way too much about coffee.
But as we head into fall, our family calendar is filling up with practices, games, and activities. Those seasons don’t last forever, and being there to support my kids is hugely important to me.
So, after the Madison City Farmers Market on August 22 and August 29, I’ll be stepping away from the market for September and October. I’ll be back in November, along with several holiday markets around the Huntsville/Madison area.
This isn’t Little Arrows taking a break. It’s just a change in where I’ll be spending my Saturdays for a little while. The coffee will keep roasting, and there are still several ways to get it:
☕ Free pickup at The Shack on Rainbow Drive throughout the week
🚗 Local delivery on Wednesdays
📦 Shipping
🧺 And soon, preorder pickup through the Madison City Farmers Market
Family has always been part of the story behind Little Arrows. This season is a good reminder that some opportunities are worth rearranging our schedule to embrace.
If you're at the market tomorrow or next Saturday, come say hello. I’d love to see you before the fall season begins.
Thanks to everyone who has supported us. And thank you Madison City Farmers Market, for allowing to be a vendor.

They had me at free watermelon, but... 🍉☕️
Honestly, the Madison City Farmers Market is one of our favorite places to spend a Saturday morning. Great vendors, great people, and this week they're adding free watermelon slices to the mix.
If you've been looking for an excuse to get out of the house, grab some fresh produce, and support local businesses, this is a pretty good one.
We'll be there with freshly roasted coffee, including Timeless, our featured coffee for August, along with the rest of the Little Arrows lineup.
Come grab a watermelon slice, say hello, and let us help you find your next favorite coffee.
See you at the market!
