Another incredible week with the Kansas Energy Program! ⚡💨

🏴‍☠️ Tuesday we braved the Kansas heat and headed to Wonder Workshop, where our amazing campers helped Captain Brendan safely transport treasure from Treasure Island to the Pirate Hideout. Mission accomplished—every piece of treasure made it safely, and thankfully, no one had to walk the plank! 🏴‍☠️💰

🍃 Wednesday we welcomed a fantastic group of educators from across Kansas to our Summer Energy Workshop. They asked thoughtful questions, explored hands-on energy activities, discovered new classroom resources, learned about equipment they can check out, and left with full bellies thanks to a delicious lunch. We can't wait to work with these educators throughout the upcoming school year!

Last week was a busy one for the Kansas Energy Program team!

🌬️ Brie traveled to Recharge in Minnesota to dive deeper into all things KidWind. She returned with fresh ideas, new friendships, and even more knowledge to bring back to Kansas classrooms.

👵👴 Kurt and Brendan had a great time representing KEP during Grandparents Day at Kansas State University, sharing the excitement of energy and STEM with families.

⚡ David Carter and Pink Science Diva spent the entire week with Camp Fire Heartland in Kansas City, leading hands-on energy activities and inspiring the next generation of energy explorers. It was an incredible week filled with curiosity, creativity, and lots of smiles!

We love taking energy education wherever it’s needed and can’t wait to see where we’ll be next! 💡🌎

Last week was another action-packed week for the Kansas Energy Program! ⚡🎉

Our team wrapped up our third week of Manhattan STEM: STEM Superstars... and rumor has it PinkScience Diva may have made an appearance. 😉 (Or was it Taylor Swift? We're still investigating! 🎤✨)

Our STEM Superstars became Energy Efficiency experts by discovering which light bulb gives MORE light while using LESS energy. 💡 They even learned how to measure light using footcandles—ask them about it!

🔓 The students also conquered our Energy Efficiency Breakout Room, solving puzzles, cracking codes, and escaping to claim their prizes. We had an incredible couple of weeks with some truly bright, curious, and creative students!

Meanwhile, David Carter and Brie Little represented KEP at the Science Coach Conference, connecting with educators from across Kansas. They shared exciting classroom opportunities through KidWind and introduced teachers to one of our newest educational topics—The Power Grid! ⚡🔌
