I’ve had some of the best conversations with family right here at this very spot, on our respective buckets with a milk cow in between. Fun conversations, tough ones, and even a few that I couldn’t quite figure out. All while reaping the creamy glorious benefit of sunlight, photosynthesis, and a ruminant. Farming is cool that way.

A strong local food economy and food security is dependent on this group…and it’s not the farmer.
It’s you, the consumer. The person making the decision to choose local food with your dollar. With you the consumer, a strong local food system ceases to exist as it gives way to convenience, ease, and a “cheaper” more centralized system. What do you think?
