Help us congratulate this year's Zero Robotics team! Over the summer, they worked on a challenge to build and grow their coding skills: Program an ASTROBEE satellite to efficiently tag asteroids, evade competitor's sensors, and outmaneuver rival scientists in deep space. We couldn't be more proud of their accomplishments!

Zero Robotics is led and coordinated by the MIT Space Systems Laboratory and the Space Enabled Research Group in partnership with NASA, the ISS National Laboratory, and other aerospace organizations. We are pleased to participate in this program each summer at .

Flowers, friends, tea, pastries, and creativity made for the perfect afternoon at Bloom and Brew 💐

Many of the beautiful blooms came straight from the North Cobb Library Community Garden, joined by bouquets that guests brought to share. Everyone created their own arrangement in a mason jar and handcrafted delicate Icelandic poppies from crepe paper to tuck among the fresh flowers.

The floral outfits were absolutely gorgeous, the photo booth was a favorite stop, and there was no shortage of laughter. It was one of those afternoons that felt as beautiful as the bouquets themselves!

Our and families enjoyed a full summer of reading, playing, and learning with us at Oakdale Park. Want to join in on the fun? Join us every other Thursday at 10:30 am beginning September 3.

Summer Reading statistics are in 🥁🥁🥁

Our Summer Reading participants:

🦕 Read 3,024,163 minutes! That's the most minutes we've recorded for a 9-week summer reading challenge and a 13% increase over last year!

🦖 Completed 7,216 activities! Visiting a new-to-you library was the top activity followed by discovering our Library of Things, sharing a book recommendation, reading in a wild spot, taking a nature walk, and using a library resource to learn something new.

🦕 44% of everyone who signed up for Summer Reading completed the challenge by earning at least one Bingo! And 43% of those folks went the extra mile and blacked out their bingo board!

🦖 75% of Lewis A. Ray Library's, 62% of Vinings Library's, and 52% of West Cobb Regional Library's folks that signed up for Summer Reading completed the challenge. Strong work!

🦕 We also smashed our community reading goal: 3,504,592 minutes were logged in Beanstack in June and July! Note that the community reading goal counts minutes logged outside of the Summer Reading challenge. Y'all were busy reading!

We're so grateful to our Cobb community for making Summer Reading 2026 a success! We can't wait to see what next year brings!

What was the best book you read over the summer?

Kick off the new school year with stories, songs, and joyful movement! Joy in Motion: Back to School Read, Sing, and Dance is a fun and engaging family program that encourages reading, music, and movement while creating meaningful moments together. It's the perfect opportunity for families to slow down, celebrate the start of a new school year, and make joyful memories through reading, singing, and dancing.

The program takes place in the Children's Programming Room and is led by the fun-loving Ms. Nimisha Shah. Each session is filled with energy, laughter, and feel-good moments for all ages—no dance experience needed.

Join us on the second Saturday of each month, Saturday, August 8, at 10:30 am at and come ready to move, smile, and connect!

Stress release, social connection, AND creative expression? Yes, yes, and yes!

Teens had a great time wrapping up the summer at recently painting mini canvases. It was the perfect way to say goodbye to summer and welcome a successful new school year!
