The Perry Township History Club is a grassroots, non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the history of Perry Township.

Mission Statement: Preservation of the history of Perry Township and the restoration of the 1893 Genoa School House. The Perry Township History Club is dedicated to the preservation of the history of Perry Township and the restoration and preservation of the 1893 Genoa Schoolhouse located at 539 Genoa Avenue, the only one room school still standing and able to be preserved in Perry Township.

Come out this Saturday 10/3 to help support our friends at the Massillon Library. A great chance to tour and hear stories about the people buried in the Massillon Cemetery. We will be there. See if you can find us.

Just a note....Massillon Cemetery will have guides and speakers Saturday at 2.
Might be a fun October adventure after the Artstober event in downtown Massillon.

Celebrate the 133rd Birthday of the 1893 Restored Genoa One Room School:

Step into a living history site as you enter the restored 1893 Genoa one room school classroom. A 4th grade student in an interactive, educational experience, social studies curriculum, half day. Programs for home schooled, scouts, youth groups and seniors. Supervised to read, research Perry Township History, photo/narrative volumes on original families, businesses.

Celebrate Johnny Appleseed‘s first footprints in Perry Township: Johnny Appleseed born in 1774-1845 planted apple trees on the J. Daum property located near the Genoa school. Read his story, do the crossword puzzle for a fun learning experience.

Self-Driving Barn Tour Brochure in Perry Township Drive by 12 historic barns.
Apple Pie and homemade apple butter will be available for purchase at the schoolhouse.

Tom Williams (Perry grad) author of, "Shot in the Mouth and Still Preaching" will be our speaker at our meeting August 17 @ 6pm at the Perry Police Dept lower level. Please join us for this interesting evening. Business meeting at 7.
