This precious couple is having a BABY!!
There’s something so beautiful about photographing a family in the in-between — before the tiny hands, sleepy snuggles, and a little personality that will soon fill their home. Right now, their baby is still just a heartbeat on an ultrasound- a little face they haven’t met, a love they can’t quite put into words yet (and probably never will). This little baby is changing everything, already!
I love that they’ll be able to look back at these photos and remember this version of their little family — just the two of them, their sweet pup who is about to become a big brother, the quiet anticipation, and the overwhelming feeling of knowing that their world was about to get a whole lot bigger (and sweeter, of course)!!
Before they knew who you will be, they already love you. The beginning of your story, little one. 💙

What a gift it is to have people to laugh with, memories to make, and a family to come home to. There’s something so beautiful about simply being together — letting the kids run around, laughing at the little things, soaking up an afternoon without needing it to be anything more.
These seasons go by so quickly, and maybe that’s why the seemingly ordinary moments are some of the most worth remembering.
Just a family enjoying their life together. What a blessing. 🤎

There’s something SO beautiful about watching a mama step into this season of motherhood. 🤍 Sara was absolutely glowing during this greenhouse maternity session & I couldn’t stop thinking about how special this little season is — the anticipation, the waiting, the tiny kicks, and the feeling of knowing your whole world is about to get so much sweeter!

Let them run! Let them be weird!!! Let them have big feelings. Let them be little! Some of my favorite photos happen in the moments when nobody is “behaving” perfectly.
I’ll take the chaos, the cuddles, the silly faces, the wild kids-all of it. That’s real life—and that’s the stuff you’ll actually want to remember. 🤎

Just a little bit of our weekend in New Smyrna Beach 🤎 no real theme here, just moments I loved and things I wanted to remember!
The perfectly imperfects 😭
POV: You booked a maternity session and got a running commentary from my brain 😂 soooo random! (This is why I rarely take behind the scenes footage because it’s so cringy to me) 🤣🤣
If you’ve ever wondered what I’m actually like behind the camera… this is pretty much it. Random thoughts. Constant encouragement. Me getting way too excited over good light. Probably saying, “Okay wait… THAT was so cute. Do that again.” Over and over and of course saying “ya’ll” a lot too (can’t take the Denton out of the girl)🤣
The best part? They invited me for coffee afterward, so I guess I passed the vibe check hahahaha
Looking for a Charlotte photographer who keeps things relaxed, fun, and full of genuine moments? That’s exactly how I want every session to feel. Did we just become best friends?!? 🤣🤣

I don’t think I’ll ever stop being in awe of this. EVER!
To step into a family’s home during the first few days of their baby’s life… to witness the love, the wonder, the tiny stretches, the sleepy snuggles, and the beginning of a whole new chapter—it never feels ordinary to me.
Knowing the road it took to get here makes these moments feel even more sacred. Some babies are prayed for a little longer, waited for a little harder, and loved long before they’re ever placed in their parents’ arms.
I don’t just take pictures. I get to preserve the moments families will spend the rest of their lives looking back on. What an incredible gift it is to be trusted with memories that become part of a family’s legacy. I’ll never stop cherishing that privilege. 🤍

I really thought it would be a good idea to be in the family photos… while also somehow taking the family photos. 🤣 It worked for approximately 2.5 seconds.
Then one kid had a meltdown, another wandered off, my own child started crawling toward the Atlantic Ocean, and somehow I was back to directing traffic instead of smiling for the camera.
“Everyone scoot in!”
“Look over here!”
“Wait, where’s Russell?!”
“Someone grab him!”
“Okay… one more.”
“Say CHEEEEEEEESE”
I had fun… but I learned a valuable lesson: I cannot simultaneously be the photographer, the toddler wrangler, the family coordinator, and the person who’s supposed to be smiling in the picture. Lessons learned 🤣 but they still turned out SO SWEET & it was worth the chaos!
