Last Friday, we celebrated the conclusion of their summer internships and the hard work, growth and contributions they brought to the Barnhart Engineering team.

We’re grateful for the energy, curiosity and fresh perspectives each intern shared this summer. Best of luck as you head back to the classroom and take the next steps in your engineering careers. We’re excited to see where the future takes you!

There was plenty to celebrate at Barnhart’s 2026 Summer Summit last week.🏆

Congratulations to our 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺, named the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 after a strong finish ahead of runner-up Memphis, TN and third-place Decatur, AL.

We also recognized three individuals with Barnhart sales awards:

Intentionality Builds Excellence.

Last week, Barnhart leaders gathered at The Peabody Memphis for our 2026 Summer Sales Summit. It was a great opportunity to learn, connect and challenge ourselves to be more intentional in the way we lead, serve and grow.

Throughout the week, we focused on what excellence looks like when it is built intentionally through our leadership, our relationships, our teams and the decisions we make every day.

A special thank you to Mike Weinberg and Mike Sharrow for sharing their experience and challenging our leaders to think differently about sales, leadership, stewardship and the responsibility we have to the people around us.

Every leader left with a personal commitment, and every team left with a commitment of its own. Now comes the most important part: putting those commitments into action and carrying what we learned back to our teams.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Summit possible and to all of our leaders who are continuing to move the message forward.

Intentionality becomes excellence when we act on it.

A traditional way to upend a large vessel is to use a main lift crane and a tailing crane to control the lower end.

For this lift, a Barnhart Tilting Frame mounted on an SPMT supported the vessel as the main crane raised the top. The SPMT moved in coordination with the crane, allowing the vessel to rotate in a controlled manner until it reached vertical and was ready for final placement.

When space makes a conventional tailing crane setup impractical, a proven method adapted through careful planning and engineering can provide another option.
