Doug MacLeod

Well, this is pretty special.

I’m proud and honored to be receiving the prestigious 2026 Stone Award this Saturday evening at the Bartlett Performing Arts Theatre Center, right here in Memphis, my new home.

To be recognized here makes it mean even more. I’m very grateful for the honor, and I’m looking forward to a wonderful evening.

Great night of music last night with the Eric Hughes Band at Ghost River Brewing Co. here in Memphis!

Good music, good people, and a great Memphis night. Here’s a shot of me with Eric Hughes and Leo Goff

Looks like many of you have been enjoying this photo by Jeff Fasano. I thought I’d tell you how it came to be.

It was an accidental moment.

I had changed into my clothes and was waiting for Jeff to pack up his gear when I noticed a comfortable-looking couch. So, I sat down, stretched out my arms, crossed my legs, and relaxed.

Jeff took a quick look and exclaimed, “That’s it! That’s it! Get your guitar! Put it there! Now, DON’T MOVE… DON’T MOVE!”

He snapped the picture—and there you have it.

Sometimes, the most memorable shots are the ones you never intended to capture.

There’s no AI involved here; it’s just a really good-looking guy, looking dapper, reflecting on his modesty. :-)
