Activity Director Kathy prepared tie-dye bucket hats for our residents to wear and enjoy at our End-of-Summer BBQ. This fun activity added a festive touch to the celebration and gave our residents something colorful and unique to wear for the event.

Here's what's happening at Park Merced this week 🦋

🍑 Peach iced tea and beautiful tunes! 🎶 We had a wonderful afternoon listening to a live singing and guitar performance by one of our resident’s talented sons. Thank you for bringing so much joy to our community today!

How steady are your hands? 🤔 Our residents showed off some serious concentration and shared lots of laughs during an afternoon game of Jenga! Fun Fact: The game was started by Leslie Scott in the 1970s based on a block game her family played in Ghana. She named it "Jenga," which means "to build" in Swahili. It is still bringing people together decades later!

🧩 Game on in the front lobby! We have an ongoing Scrabble battle happening right at our front lobby table. It is residents, guests, and staff teaming up against our "boss lady," Executive Director Elina! 👑 We'll see who takes home the win this time! 🏆

We celebrated National Milk Chocolate Day in style yesterday! 🍫 Our residents treated themselves to a warm milk chocolate chip cookie bar loaded with tin roof sundae ice cream and rich, homemade chocolate sauce. 🍦Life is sweet here at Park Merced!
