Here's a look at our Activities Schedule for the first week of August! 🌞

🧩 Game on in the front lobby! We have an ongoing Scrabble battle happening right at our front lobby table. It is residents, guests, and staff teaming up against our "boss lady," Executive Director Elina! 👑 We'll see who takes home the win this time! 🏆

We celebrated National Milk Chocolate Day in style yesterday! 🍫 Our residents treated themselves to a warm milk chocolate chip cookie bar loaded with tin roof sundae ice cream and rich, homemade chocolate sauce. 🍦Life is sweet here at Park Merced!

Here's a look at our activities schedule for the last week of July🌞😎

We had so much fun in the craft room yesterday! 🎨 Our residents created these beautiful, personalized decoupage signs to hang on their apartment doors. Everyone loved mixing and matching the vibrant colors and fun patterns!

The morning was filled with beautiful music! 🎤 Huge thanks to the Gospel Group for sharing their incredible talents with our residents today.

Today, our wonderful residents enjoyed a fantastic lunch outing at Lake Yosemite right here in Merced! We made sure to head out and enjoy the peaceful lakeside views together before it got too hot this afternoon.🥪🏖️

Here's what's happening at Park Merced this week! 🌼

Our residents had a wonderful time traveling vicariously through our activity director's vacation slideshow today! 🗺️✨ It was incredibly special because many of our residents had actually visited some of these exact locations themselves, sparking a beautiful afternoon of reminiscing and sharing favorite memories.

Here is a quick look at the amazing journey they discussed:
🌲 The Basecamp: She stayed at the historic Stoney Meadows Ranch & Campground in Big Bend, CA. Established in 1923, this 220-acre remote working ranch sits along Kosk Creek between Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta.
💦 Waterfalls & Hot Springs: Her Wednesday adventures included the breathtaking McArthur-Burney Falls State Park and a relaxing soak in the hot spring tubs along Kosk Creek.
🌋 Volcanic Views: Thursday was dedicated to exploring the beautiful landscapes of Lassen Volcanic National Park.
🤖 Art & Small Towns: Friday included a tour around the town of Burney and a stop at the unique Packway Materials Sculpture Park in Cassel to see the giant "junk metal" sculptures.
