The guide provides side-by-side information on candidates Adam Gray and Kevin Lincoln and where they stand on issues including healthcare, immigration, labor, voting rights, gun laws, the economy, criminal justice, taxes, climate change, and more.
The NAACP does not endorse candidates through this guide. The purpose is simple: provide voters with information so they can review the candidates’ positions, compare the issues that matter to them, and make an informed decision at the ballot box.

What a powerful afternoon in Merced! 🎬✊🏾💙
We were proud to host the screening of Disciples of a Craftsman and create space for honest conversations about community healing, family and generational trauma, fatherhood, mentorship, accountability, and opportunity.
The film also challenged us to look deeper at individual choices and responsibility, while recognizing the circumstances, experiences, and trauma that can shape those choices. Sometimes people act from a place where, in that moment, it feels like there is no other option.
Our conversation explored what it means to understand those realities without ignoring accountability, and how healing can create new choices, new possibilities, and a different path forward.
Thank you to Hatching Chick Media Group, our panelists, community partners, resource organizations, and everyone who showed up, listened, shared, and engaged.
Healing happens in community, and it can open the door to choices we may not have been able to see before. 💙🔥

At the 111th Spingarn Award Freedom Fund Gala, Rev. Frederick D. Haynes III, Ph.D., Senior Pastor of Friendship West Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, delivered a powerful tribute to Dr. Amos C. Brown, this year’s Spingarn Medal recipient.
Rev. Haynes reminded us that “Jesus and justice should always be united in holy wedlock.” He honored Dr. Brown as a pastor, civil rights leader, NAACP champion, and lifelong advocate for “the least, the last, and the left behind.”
Dr. Brown’s leadership reflects the historic role of the Black church: not only as a place of worship, but as a center for organizing, resistance, healing, courage, and justice.
Rev. Haynes also issued a timely call for a Third Reconstruction as efforts continue to dismantle the civil rights progress achieved through the struggles of the 1950s and 1960s.
To our local churches: our faith must have social consequences. The work does not stop at the church doors.
