My goal for this event was:
+10 program interest sign-ups, total: 1
+60 followers on IG, total: +5
Raise $100 from magnets, total: $0
But it’s okay (😭), I trust in next time. We’re just looking for women and femme folks in Merced who are down for each other!

Gaonou shared in her speech how it feels full circle to receive this award as a community organizer. With a heart for community, she spoke on how it is critical for community to be rooted in care to shape a sustainably equitable world.
