my no-running week has been fabulous 😍 we spent 3 nights in Krakow, Poland. We toured the beautiful medieval-y old town and spent half a day at the Auschwitz camp memorial and museum—honestly the most emotional and impactful tour I’ve ever experienced. I highly recommend and feel it’s important for everyone to get a firsthand look at this meaningful part of history 🫶🏼
just a bit more rest and recovery before I get to run again!

a marathon was run. a medal was earned… a performance we will not be adding to the list of great ones 😂🏅
Berlin, you were a whole experience. It wasn’t the race or finish I had envisioned after months of training, but crossing that finish line still felt like a win. bc sometimes the biggest accomplishment is simply refusing to quit when the day doesn’t go according to plan & when your body feels like trash 🙃
I have plenty of thoughts & feelings about this race to share, but that full recap will have to wait until I’m home from vacation and have had some time to decompress (and maybe forget a few of the painful parts lol)
stay tuned for the full story on my new substack 🤓
for now I will be enjoying my trip and some time off of running :)
Packing for 26.2 miles is apparently a whole production 😂
After 18 years of racing, I’ve learned that race day is NOT the time to get creative. I’m sticking with the gear, fuel and little race-day essentials I already know work for me—and hoping I didn’t forget anything important 🫠
KT tape PRO Extreme: this has a strong adhesive so stays put for days
KT Blister Prevention Tape: flexible and breathable perfect for so many hot spots!
KT Chafe Safe: the absolute best anti-chafe stick! It’s sweat and water resistant and comes in pocket-size too 🥳
The fact that I’m packing for Berlin right now and the marathon is actually almost here feels a little surreal 🇩🇪

I am someone who likes making lists of her favorite things 🤓💁🏻♀️
yes, the run is over when my watch stops 🏃🏻♀️ but I do a lot of silly things afterwards that do actually help me recover 😅
I may spend an hour (or two) plopped on the floor and scrolling through my run stats, but I also do the important things like refueling, hydrating, and of course taking OmegaXL Sport. It’s designed to help support muscle recovery, soreness, and stiffness and made with 3 key clean ingredients: green lipped mussel oil, olive oils, and vitamin E — all you need is two small soft gels every day 🙌🏼
The goal isn’t just to train hard—it’s to recover well enough to keep going every day 🔥

the older I get, the more I realize fitness isn’t really about looking “fit”.. it’s about keeping your body capable of doing the things you love — running, traveling, hiking, carrying your suitcase up 3 flights of stairs because the elevator is out of service… 😅
you can always decide to get stronger, fitter and more mobile later. But the earlier you start, the better chances & more time you have to build a body that can keep up with the life you want to live.
Future you will be so grateful 🫶🏼
