This week, Quest2Freedom delivered 300 care bags for women and men to the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office Victim Assistance Program, made possible through our partnership with the Urban League of Greater Miami. These care bags will help provide practical support and essential items to individuals receiving victim services in our community.

We are grateful for partnerships that help us extend care, dignity and support where it is needed most. One shared commitment to showing up for our community.

Reflecting on World Day Against Trafficking in Persons this past July, when Quest2Freedom joined fellow advocates at the Fourth Annual Protecting Innocence: Joining Forces to Combat Human Trafficking Symposium. 💙

Our Founder and CEO Victor Williams had the privilege of connecting with incredible community leaders, including Francesco Duberli, Chief Executive Director of Survivors Pathway and Kim McGrath, Director of Programs and Services at Citrus Family Care Network.

From vital panel discussions on local initiatives to powerful presentations on survivor support, this event reinforced the power of collaboration. It takes a dedicated network of advocates, organizations, and community members to raise awareness, protect the vulnerable, and build a safer, more just world for all. ✨

Grateful to Citrus Health Network's CHANCE Program, Voices For Children Foundation, Inc., The Women's Fund Miami, City of Hialeah - Municipal Government, and the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice for bringing our community together.

Weeks later, those conversations are still shaping how we show up. The work continues.

We were saddened to learn of the passing of Collette Reece who served as a volunteer accountant to Quest2Freedom during our early days.

We remember Collette with deep gratitude for the time, care, and service she shared with our organization. Her service supporter Quest2Freedom at an important stage of our development, and her contribution will remain part of our story.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her. 🤍

As the summer session comes to a close, we're proud to highlight our Summer 2026 Intern Cohort! 🌟

Our interns bring diverse academic backgrounds: Psychology, Sociology, Global Affairs, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Public Health, and more; proof that ending human trafficking takes interdisciplinary perspectives.

When we asked what brought them to Quest2Freedom, their answers varied: cultural awareness, prevention strategy, survivor-centered advocacy, the intersection of psychology and human rights. But one thing was constant - a belief in the power of change.

This year's global theme, "Trapped Behind the Scam," highlights a growing form of human trafficking in which victims are coerced into carrying out online scams and cyber-enabled fraud by transnational criminal networks.

Human trafficking may evolve, but so does our commitment to preventing it.

Through education, collaboration, survivor-centered advocacy, and strong partnerships, we can build communities committed to protecting human dignity. where every person is safe, valued, and free.
