12 years ago you entered into our lives and brought us so much happiness. You were our little princess. It breaks my heart that we had to let you go. I want to thank you for all the unconditional love you gave us. We will always love you Marilyn. Rest in peace.

I want to thank everyone for their birthday wishes. This birthday was bittersweet as I spent it away from my family. Jorge and I moved to Kentucky on Valentine's Day.

My sister Yolie Cruz threw me an amazing Kentucky Derby party the Saturday before I left. I am so thankful that I got to spend that time with them. We will be back to visit in March so I am looking forward to that.

So far life in this new house is peaceful and extremely scenic. I am glad to start this new adventure with my partner Jorge Freire. We've been together 22 years and are still going strong. He has shown me that even at 51 it's not too late for new adventures.

I am thankful to my family in Florida for letting me go. Even though we are miles apart, we will keep in touch through video chats and visits. They prove that sometimes you must let someone go and explore a new life even though the distance will hurt. Putting other's needs in front of your own is proof of true love. So familia I love you and I'll see you soon!

Last, I am so lucky to have moved to a town with so many friendly neighbors. Everyone here has been so welcoming and helpful. I am blessed to add another group of peeps to my family tree; I'm talking about you, Sherrie Day, and your gang. LOL Looking forward to more game nights.

I don't know where all of this will lead to, but with Jorge I feel safe and look forward for what's to come.
