The Silleteros Parade in Medellin has officially come to an end.. but these Colombian delicacies will stay in our memories.

Let's begin with the traditional bandeja paisa that piles red beans, rice, sausages, chicharron (fried pork), eggs, fried bananas, and of course an avocado, for the health benefits 🥑

The fresh produce including ground coffee from the bean to the cup, ☕ fresh fruits, and veggies including coconuts from the coast.

But let's not forget the classic corrientazo: an inexpensive lunch usually home-made and served with a starter, main, and agua panela or fruit juice.

Trust us we're not counting calories 🙈

On August 9th, 2026, Medellin's streets fill with colors, music, and art! Hundreds of silletas (intricate flower arrangements) parade the city streets CARRIED by local farmers!

Some can weight more than 200 pounds! Beautiful designs (modern and classic) that convey messages and showcase beautiful flower patterns representing farms, families, and years of tradition and hard work. 🌹🏵🌼
