D3Energy
We are America’s leader in floating solar, building FPV systems on ponds, lakes & reservoirs nationwide.
Our clean energy solutions save valuable land, boost sustainability, and deliver reliable, cost-effective solar power to communities across the U.S. We have strategic partners that assist us in delivering cutting edge technology at affordable price points. We make clean energy available to businesses, schools, non-profits, government organizations and individuals at a lower cost than they pay for energy generated by burning fossil fuels like coal, oil and natural gas.

11 acres of solar can't fit in a selfie📸
Ohio's largest floating solar array sits on the village's own reservoir. 9,222 panels on three floating islands, for a village of 1,300 residents. Between this and its solar field from 2017, Monroeville now has roughly 13 times as much solar per resident as the rest of Ohio.
We love to see good publicity (Thanks, Solar Power World!) https://www.solarpowerworldonline.com/2026/09/with-one-of-the-largest-floating-solar-arrays-in-the-us-ohio-village-takes-lead-on-solar-power/
Congratulations, Monroeville. So proud to have built this one for you. ☀️

Our Lima project made Fox News this morning!! ☀️
3,120 panels floating on Twin Lakes Reservoir, right beside the water treatment plant they were built to feed. Two megawatts, on Lima, Ohio's primary drinking water source.
Fox notes that a regular solar farm making the same amount of power would need at least 10 acres. Lima used water it already had. The city projects close to $10 million in electricity savings over the lifetime of the system.
So proud of this one, and of the City of Lima, OH - Government 💧

Floating solar panels could save cities millions. Is your town next? Lima, Ohio, has installed 3,120 floating solar panels on its Twin Lakes Reservoir, projecting nearly $10 million in electricity cost savings.

Some of the ponds you drive past are moonlighting. 💧
In Orlando, one pond picked up a second job. There's a floating solar array on it: twenty four panels paired with batteries, and it powers an emergency highway sign for the Central Florida Expressway Authority. When the power goes out, the sign stays on and CFX can still tell drivers what's going on.
It's National Preparedness Month, which is a good time to notice that the signs you count on in a storm need power too. This one makes its own. ☀️

Our first project in Utah 🤝 Utah's first floating solar project
Mountains in every direction, and the Signal Hill treatment plant sitting right in the middle of them, running around the clock. Treating water takes a lot of power, so the array went on the plant's retention pond instead of disturbing the scenery.
Powering the plant since 2024🫡

There's something new floating on Twin Lakes Reservoir. ☀️
Lima's 2-megawatt solar array is officially constructed to feed the water treatment plant next door. Not one acre of farmland was used to build it. The panels went where nothing else could go: the water.

Proud day in Lima, Ohio. ☀️ Two megawatts floating on Twin Lakes Reservoir, helping power the water treatment plant that serves 27,000 accounts. Thank you to Mayor Smith, City of Lima, OH - Government, and every partner who pushed this across the finish line. From vision to reality, and now to the switch.

Here's a fact we love: the floats under these panels are made of HDPE, the same material as the pipes that carry drinking water to your tap. 💧
Safe enough for your water supply. Tough enough to sit on a pond for 25+ years.
Pretty enough for a picture, too😎

Next time you're flying into Miami in a window seat, look down! The FPL and Miami-Dade logos in the water are our solar panels 😎
And if you're at Universal Orlando, take a closer look at the Comcast logo floating near the entrance. Those are also ours.
We love a good disguise 🎨

The world's first floating solar in the auto industry is right here in Orlando. 🚗☀️
While Cox Automotive's Manheim Orlando site had no spare land (it's covered in cars), it did have a retention pond. That pond now runs 1 MW of solar, floating on water the site already owned.

Imagine a future where innovation meets sustainability! The Village of Monroeville, Ohio (population ~1,300) is pioneering the way with the largest floating solar array in Ohio (and one of the largest in the country), harnessing 6 megawatts of clean energy on its own drinking water reservoir. By repurposing existing water, they're preserving 20+ acres of land for future generations. 🌞💚
