Upkeep Lot Cleaners

Even with July ending there's still plenty of time to make the most of the summer. One thing that always means summer work getting done is a dumpster on the property.

Remodels and storage cleanouts go nowhere without a dumpster to haul everything away, but what happens when the dumpster leaves a mess too?

What sometimes happens is there's too much stuffed into the dumpster and it spills over when it's being hauled away. Or even the stuff being put into the dumpster creates a mess on the way in.

Either way, whatever's left behind shouldn't stop you from getting the most out of these last few weeks!

New mulch on a property always looks great, but what happens when there's too much?

A lot of the time, after heavy rain or strong winds, it overflows into the parking lot.

It usually ends up mixing with dust and trash before settling in the corners of the parking lot.

Landscapers don't always have time to come back on a different day just to stay and clean up.

That's why at all of our properties, we make sure to clean up what's left behind in every corner.

It's not often that property managers reach out to us with an issue we can't help them fix.

One of the shopping centers we service was preparing for the grand opening of a new restaurant.

The problem was the exterior of the building needed to be soft washed.

The bricks were falling apart and leaving behind a white, chalky powder along the walls and walkway.

Not exactly the first impression you want when new customers are walking through the doors for the first time.

So we got there before opening and made sure the walls were clean and the bricks were shining.

I don't plan on adding soft washing to the company flyer, but if more property managers need it, I'll happily reconsider.

The best way to make your property look clean and professional is to hire someone to come clean it.

Or you can focus on areas that help it look clean. One of the best ways I've seen this summer is a fresh seal coat for your parking lot.

It doesn't help much when there's new trash blowing over it right away, so combining the two has really made this property stand out.

It looks great.

but it isn't the most fun to work on in heat like today.

We mainly talk about shopping centers and big cleanups that we do throughout Wisconsin.

That isn't going to change.

But we wanted to highlight an area of our services that might get overlooked by the big shopping center cleanups.

Milwaukee during the summertime has something for everyone, but not everyone lives here or cares about how it looks the next day.

Which is why we help apartments and businesses keep everything clean through all the foot traffic and new visitors.

The only issue is the return of litter bugs.

This week we were able to update our growing list of the different types of properties we service.

This one's a vacant lot that needs help being maintained.

It's easy to forget about a property like this with so many in the portfolio.

No one coming and going, or complaints demanding attention. But that's exactly when the trash starts to pile up in silence.

Parking lots and commercial buildings go through phases while switching ownership.

You don't want to leave it and let it collect trash while there isn't much activity.

With this one out of commission for now, we're happy to step in and keep it clean and ready.

Around this time last year we visited an apartment complex in Oak Creek to knock on the property manager's door to sell our litter removal service.

Luckily she was in and we had a nice conversation about the business.

We didn't set up any litter contracts, but she asked if we could get rid of the junk left by the dumpster corrals around the property.

Fast forward to now we have been servicing this apartment about once a month for just junk removal, until now.

They reached out to us and asked if we would clean out a vacant apartment, so we said why not.

I'd say it turned out well, and the comfortable room temperature was a nice change of scenery.

Glad she was there that day.

A mattress and pallets. All tucked behind an office building.

We don't ask how it got there. We just haul it away.

Things get left behind garbage corrals and thrown behind buildings over time. Stuff like this builds up slowly, properties change hands and then nobody wants to deal with it.

Eventually it just becomes part of the scenery.
