Happy Independence Day of Ukraine! 💙💛

Today marks 35 years since Ukraine restored its Independence, a milestone that means even more this year, as the nation continues to defend that freedom with extraordinary courage. For over three decades, Ukrainians have built, protected, and fought for the right to determine their own future, and the resilience shown today is the same spirit that has carried the nation throughout centuries.

The brave people of Ukraine continue to fight for their freedom, their land, and their families, and that fight inspires the world. We believe that one day, Ukraine will emerge as a flourishing, peaceful, and prosperous country, standing strong among free nations.

Слава Україні! Героям слава!

Forty containers. Over 540,000 pounds of medical aid. And we're just getting started.

On August 24th, Ukraine marks 35 years since restoring its independence. Today, on World Humanitarian Aid Day, we're marking a milestone of our own: StandWithUkraineMN just shipped our 40th 40-foot high-cube container of medical supplies to Ukraine.

Thirty-five years after Ukrainians restored their independence, they're fighting for the basic right to live freely in their own country. For us, standing with Ukraine means standing with the doctors and nurses who are saving lives every single day while their brave country fights for its future.

Here's what our community has shipped since 2022:

- 40 forty-foot High Cube containers
- 800 pallets of medical supplies
- 540,000+ pounds of medical supplies aiding 340,560 people

Stack those 800 pallets on top of each other, and they'd reach about 6,000 feet into the sky. It is more than a mile of medical supplies, end to end!

These are just numbers until you see what happens next.

We track every delivery. We get reports and photos back from Ukraine showing exactly where these supplies end up and who's using them. Watch these photos and you'll see doctors and nurses all over Ukraine opening boxes, and you notice happiness on their faces. These supplies aren't treasured because they're gifts. They're treasured because of what they make possible: treating badly wounded patients, performing critical procedures, managing complex wounds, stabilizing fractures, helping people walk again, giving people a real shot at healing and going home to the people who love them.

None of this happens without an incredible chain of people helping people. Hospitals and medical organizations across the US donate supplies. Volunteers spend hours sorting and packing them. Partners help move pallets and load containers. Donors cover the cost of getting everything to Ukraine. Volunteers on the ground in Ukraine distribute it based on what hospitals actually need. And Ukrainian doctors and nurses close the loop, using these supplies directly for their patients' care.

We are grateful to everyone who helps make this mission possible: MATTER, Global Health Ministries, Ukrainian Village Band, HUCUS Foundation, Grace of God Aid, Dnipro LLC, Hapag-Lloyd AG, Unifeeder Group, Гуманітарна Нова пошта, ГО «Волонтерська Родина України», ГО «Ефективне Життя», ГО "Сумський Бабський Батальйон -ТИЛ" and many other organizations and individuals that contribute to the success of each delivery!

Forty containers is a milestone. It's not the finish line. We already have more medical supplies ready to go, and we need your help getting the next containers to Ukraine over the coming months.

Every donation gets us one step closer to shipping the next container and one step closer to a Ukrainian doctor who's waiting for it and a patient who needs it.

Help us ship the next container. Help Ukrainian doctors save lives. Help Ukraine heal while it fights for freedom.

Together, we deliver. Together, we heal. Together, we stand with Ukraine.

Happy 250th Independence Day, America!

Today we celebrate 250 years of American independence and the enduring ideals that have inspired generations around the world: freedom, democracy, courage, and hope.

For Ukrainians, these ideals are more than words. At this very moment, the people of Ukraine continue their heroic fight to defend their freedom, their sovereignty, and the right to determine their own future. Their resilience reminds us that liberty is precious and that it must always be protected.

The Ukrainian American Community is profoundly grateful to the United States—a nation that opened its doors to generations of Ukrainian immigrants and, more recently, to those seeking refuge from war. Here, thousands of Ukrainian Americans have built families, businesses, careers, and communities, contributing their talents and hard work to the success and prosperity of the country we proudly call home.

As we celebrate America's historic 250th birthday, we honor the bonds between our two nations and the shared belief that freedom unites us across oceans and generations.

May the light of liberty continue to shine brightly in America, in Ukraine, and wherever people strive to live in peace and dignity!

Happy Independence Day!

This amazing feeling of accomplishment when one note about availability of materials needed in Ukraine turns into many organizations working together to deliver it to amazing doctors saving people's lives! Grateful to everyone involved at every partner organization! Thank you!

14 forty-foot containers with critical medical aid were sent to Ukraine between September 2025 and March 2026 thanks to our donors, partners, and volunteers! These are all high-impact, clinically relevant technologies. In Ukraine’s current conditions (high trauma volume, infrastructure strain, long evacuation chains), each of these directly translates into more lives saved, fewer amputations, and faster recovery. Our team of volunteers does not stop! We started packing another container this week.

Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar spoke on the National Mall for an art installation put on by .for.ukraine dedicated to the children illegally abducted since the Full Scale Invasion.

Stand With Ukraine MN is thankful for her words, her support, and continued leadership on related legislation. We are deeply honored to have such a close tie to the Senator as she continues to stand with Ukraine!!

The voices we heard reflect the many lives impacted by this brutal war of oppression. The unwavering strength Ukraine is showing serves as inspiration to all of us about the cost of freedom, the importance of democracy, and how the spirit can endure.

Through everything, we are here to show the world:
Ukrainians are strong.
Ukrainians are beautiful in their resilience.
And Ukrainians will triumph.
Light will always overcome darkness. Together, we will prevail.
Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦
