Disrupting the cycle of poverty for single mothers and their children two generations at a time.

Our mission it to disrupt the cycle of poverty for single mothers and their children, two generations at a time. When a mother invests simultaneously in her personal and professional goals and the education of her children, she can re-author her family’s outcomes and act as a change agent within her community.

When we advocate for our needs, we aren’t just advocating for ourselves. We’re helping to build stronger communities for everyone.

It's OK to not feel completely confident. Just show up. Be part of the conversation.

Because your voice and lived experiences matter. ❤️

We can't say parenting is one of the most important jobs in society without having the policies and resources to back that up.

Actually supporting mothers and their children means:
- fully funded SNAP/WIC
- high-quality affordable child care
- paid maternity leave
- affordable housing

Single moms around the nation are part of a growing coalition committed to voting this year — for affordable gas, food, housing, education, and child care costs and for their families and communities.

JP moms in Minnesota and North Dakota recently participated in voting information sessions and registered to vote ahead of the 2026 midterms. JP kids also got in the voting spirit with a mock election.

JP was founded on a simple but powerful insight: Systemic barriers often stand in the way of talent and determination.

After seeing single moms leave college because of challenges like housing instability, financial hardship, and lack of support, community leaders came together to build a holistic support system.

They made community a verb and planted the seeds of what would become Jeremiah Program.

The strength of the collective is at the core of everything we do and believe at JP. When women succeed, moms succeed, and our communities flourish.

It's going to take all of us — single moms, their children, and everyone who believes they deserve the chance to thrive.

Together, we represent a civic force large enough to reshape the public policy landscape.

What difference does the U.S. Census make?

A big one for single-mother families and those on the financial margins.

As we look ahead to the 2030 Census, it's essential that single-parent households are accurately counted and represented. This data shapes congressional representation, funding, policies, and resources that directly impact families — for the next decade.
