Good Time Charlie

The last of the Black Wall. Before the internet, tattoo customers would pick something off (or find inspiration from) the shop's wall.

GTC created the Black Wall over the course of many years. He hand picked his favorite designs from other artists' reproduction flash sheets. He cut out what he liked, and often he'd hand color them. There were 540-ish sheets from the Black Wall.

After closing End of the Trail in 2020, he started selling pieces off the Black Wall, as a souvenirs/mementos of the shop's 33+ year run.

The End of the Trail started off in Wichita and closed in Modesto. In the beginning, and in Charlie's true fashion, it was the only tattoo shop in both cities at its time of opening.

Charlie’s taking a little break from the shop to spend more time with sweet Ollie May. If you have a need to tattoo in the Central Valley, dm us. Charlie will be in and out now and then.
